Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Followers of Farralis the Seeker, this order takes it upon themselves to seal away dangerous magics and lore. They often send adventurers to seek out and collect any dark magics or lore that they become aware of. Originally started by the High Elves of the Ivory Peaks, this order has existed since the time when dragon-kind ruled the world.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Curseward. You can spend your reaction when an ally is targeted by a spell to use your Channel Divinity to grant an ally within 60' advantage on a saving throw versus that spell. If more than one ally is targeted by the same spell, you may grant this protection to a number of additional allies within 60' equal to your Charisma modifier.

Rebuke the Conjured. You can use your Channel Divinity to utter ancient words that disrupts the energies of summoned creatures. As an action, you present your holy symbol, and each summoned or conjured creature within 30 feet of you that can hear you must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is turned for 1 minute or until it takes damage.

A turned creature must spend its turns trying to move as far away from you as it can, and it can’t willingly move to a space within 30 feet of you. It also can’t take reactions. For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there’s nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action.

If the creature’s true form is concealed by an illusion, shapeshifting, or other effect, that form is revealed while it is turned.

Aura of Warding

Beginning at 7th level, ancient magic lies so heavily upon you that it forms an eldritch ward. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet of you have resistance to damage from spells.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Martyr's Retribution

Starting at 15th level, as a reaction when you fail a saving throw against a spell, you may immediately duplicate the effects of the spell against a new target. This newly cast version uses your own spell casting modifiers in place of the original caster. You may intentionally fail a saving throw in order to use this ability.

Once used, you may not use this ability again until you have finished either a short or long rest.

True Scion of the Ten

At 20th level, your long service to the order has granted you access to eldritch secrets of the Ten - the elder dragons that slumber throughout the world. These secrets allow you to witness first-hand the magical ebb and flow of the world as well as ward yourself from it's effects for a short time.

As an action, you channel this eldritch power and for 1 minute, you are granted the following benefits:

  • You gain the effects of the True Seeing spell
  • If you are targeted by a magical effect that allows a saving throw, you may choose to succeed automatically on that saving throw without making a roll.
  • When you use your Martyr's Retribution class feature, you may instead store the spell within your own soul. You may spend an action to release this spell at a target of your choice, adhering to the original spell's description. If not released, at the next dawn it dissipates harmlessly.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
