Way of the Lightning Flash Monks move so quickly that, to the untrained eye, there appears to be multiple of them. They dash across the battlefield and strike their enemies in quick succession, ending all combat before they can even blink. Whenever their fists land, a beat of thunder is heard.

Aura of Lightning

As an action on your turn, you may spend 2 ki points to ignite your Lightning Aura for 1 minute. While ignited it grants you the following benefits:

• Lightning Speed - Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
• Flash Step - Opportunity attacks against you have disadvantage.
• Lightning Veins - You have resistance to Lightning damage.
• Sparking Fists - Your melee attacks deal an additional 1d4 lightning damage. 

When you ignite your aura, you may make one Unarmed Strike as a bonus action.

Charged Presence

When an enemy hits you with a melee attack, you may use your reaction to have your Aura leap out and strike the enemy with a burst of electricity. The enemy must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Ki save DC, and takes your martial arts die + your Wisdom modifier in damage on a fail, taking half damage on a success. You may use this reaction a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Enhanced Lightning Aura Mode

When you ignite your Aura, you may spend an additional ki point to activate your Enhanced Lightning Aura Mode, granting you the following benefits:

• Improved Sparking Fists - Your additional Lightning damage increases from 1d4 to 1d6.
• Strike the Same Place - When you use your Bonus Action for an Unarmed Strike on your turn, you may make one additional attack as a part of that action.

Additionally, you may spend four ki points to cast Lightning Bolt, using your ki save DC, and it deals an additional d8 of damage if you cast it while your Aura is active.

Avatar of the Storm

Your Enhanced Lightning Aura gains the following improvements:

• Your additional movement speed increases to 20 feet.
• You no longer provoke opportunity attacks.
• You have immunity to Lightning Damage.
• The number of additional attacks from your Aura increases to two.
