Driven by their desire to uncover every mysteries of magic, arcane savants pursue all forms of the mystic arts. Followers of this school of thought are known for their expended spell repertoire and vast amount of knowledge on magical lore. While most savants seek to uncover knowledge to further advance research, others desire to gain power and status.

Loremaster

When you choose this subclass at 2nd level, you gain expertise in Arcana and one other wizard skill of your choice, provided that you are already proficient in both skills. You also learn two languages of your choice. This reflects the range of your esoteric studies.

Astute Student

By 2nd level, your efforts reward you with additional knowledge. You can learn wizard cantrips from spell scrolls. Doing so takes 1 hour and costs 25 gp.

Ritual Mastery

By 6th level, your intense study of magic allows you to cast magic rituals more efficiently. Casting a spell as a ritual only adds 1 minute to the casting time of a spell instead of 10 minutes, and your concentration cannot be broken while casting a spell.

Perpetual Study

Starting at 10th level your lifestyle allows you to forego sleep in favor of productivity. You no longer need to sleep, although you still require rest to reduce exhaustion and still benefit from finishing short and long rests. You are able to spend your rest copying a spell, scribing a spell scroll or researching a new spell.

Copying a wizard spell from a spell scroll or a spellbook only takes half as much time and gold, as does researching a new spell.

Vast Memory

At 14th level, your ability to prepare and recall spells increases with the number of spells that you learn. For every ten spells in your spellbook, you can prepare one additional spell after a long rest. For example, a 15th-level wizard with 20 Intelligence and 34 known spells can prepare 23 spells instead of 20 after a long rest.
