Base Class: Sorcerer
With your connection to Primordial Earth, you are able to manipulate dirt and stone magically. You can use your feet as a way to sense your surroundings, alter the state of the terrain, forge simple tools, and even encase your body in a suit of solid stone armour.
Earth Sense
Starting at Level 1 you have learned to draw your sense into the ground your feet stand on. You can detect and pinpoint the origin of vibrations within a range determined by your Charisma modifier x 10 feet. You are able to sense any movement or object position provided that you and the source of the vibrations are in contact with the same surface. Earth Sense can't be used to detect flying or incorporeal creatures.
Additionally, whenever you cast a spell that requires concentration, are poisoned, or knocked prone your sense's range is reduced to half. If you are paralysed, stunned, or exhausted your sense's range is reduced to 5 feet.
Sculptor
At level 6 you are able to more fully control the ground around you. By spending a minute concentrating on touching a solid surface you can create one of the following effects:
- Create a bridging structure that connects one solid surface to another up to 20 feet away. This structure is 4 inches thick and 1 foot wide and can support up to 500 pounds at once.
- Create a 2-inch thick, 1 foot wide, 30 feet tall wall with climbable protrusions. Checks made to climb this wall are made with advantage. This structure can support up to 200 pounds at a time.
- Create a 6x6x6 hollow cube of earth 6 inches thick. It has a 5x1 foot opening on one side you determine. As an action, you can choose to close one opening or create another. Each wall has an AC equal to your spell DC and HP equal to 1/4 of your own HP maximum.
- Create one melee weapon of your choice with the “Thrown” attribute. You are always proficient with this weapon and its damage type is always bludgeoning. When you throw this weapon or are disarmed you may use a bonus action to recreate it at your feet. This weapon only lasts for 1 minute if created as an action, otherwise it lasts until you end concentration. You can create a weapon in this way without dismissing another creation.
- Create a single mannequin of medium size or smaller. It has no discernible details upon close inspection but otherwise looks like a humanoid. If it is damaged you are instantly aware of this. It has an AC equal to your spell DC and HP equal to 1/4 of your own HP maximum.
If you Choose, you may use 2 sorcery points to create any of these aforementioned effects as an action.
You can maintain concentration on your creation for a number of hours equal to your Charisma Modifier. If you lose concentration, are incapacitated, choose to create another structure, or a structure's weight capacity is met/HP reduced your initial creation is reduced to dust immediately. You can spend Sorcery points to extend a structure's time, 4 sorcery points for every hour. If you do this you are not required to concentrate on it.
Concentrating on your structures does not hamper your Stone Sense ability.
Fissure
At level 14 you have begun to more aggressively use your connection with elemental earth. As an action, you can spend 1 sorcery point to make a 15-foot circle of solid ground (regardless material) around your feet considered difficult terrain until your next turn. You may spend as many sorcery points as you want, two at a time, to extend the circle's radius another 5 feet.
You are not affected by this difficult terrain. The centre point of this effect stays where you fit’s created it.
When this effect ends every creature within range must make a Dexterity Saving Throw to beat your Spell DC. Failing creatures take bludgeoning damage equal to the number of Sorcery Points you spent to create it and are knocked prone. Creatures that pass take half damage and are not made prone.
You can do this a number of times equal to half your Charisma Modifier. After this, you must take a long rest to regain uses.
Stone Sage
Starting at 18th level, you have finally come into your true inheritance as a child of the Elemental Plane of Earth.
Firstly, you are unaffected by all difficult terrain.
Additionally you can spend 8 sorcery points as an action to cover completely yourself in solid stone, regardless of what material surrounds you. In this form, you have resistance to all damage except force and thunder damage, and have advantage on all Constitution checks (including Concentration) you make. When you take damage from falling you can choose to force the armour to break your fall, removing up to 50 points of bludgeoning damage. This instantly dismisses the armour when you land. You are also immune to the Petrification condition.
Your walking speed is reduced to half and you have disadvantage on all Dexterity and Perception checks. If you have a flying speed or are given the ability to fly in any way your flying speed is immediately removed. If you are in water while this form is active you cannot swim or make checks to swim and you immediately move downward 30 feet on the start of your turn.
You remain in this form for 1 minute. It ends early if you are incapacitated, if you die, or if you dismiss it as a bonus action.
