Base Class: Barbarian
Lycanthropy is seen as a curse to almost all, but there are those who have found a use for their animalistic urges. Those who follow the Path of the Wolf Mother have found a way to harness those urges, using their transformations to bolster their abilities, letting the animal loose to gain an edge in combat.
Form of the Beast
You shift into beast form when you rage. when you do so, for the Duration of your rage you can grapple a creature one size larger than you or less as a Bonus Action, on each of your turns after this one. You can make a bite attack against a grappled foe as a bonus action.
While raging your hands transform into claws. your claws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal slashing damage equal to 2d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike. In addition you gain a Bite Attack that deals 1d8 + your Strength modifier.
When raging you gain +10 speed, and vulnerability to silver. You can not wield a weapon while raging.
Scent for Blood
At 3rd level, you can smell the blood of a wounded creature from far away. You have expertise (double proficiency bonus) on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track any creature who is below their maximum hit points.
Moonlight Mania
Your rage is hard to control, and sometimes the beast within takes over. Starting at 3rd level, whenever you enter a rage, you must make a Wisdom saving throw at a DC of 8 or enter an uncontrolled, bestial rage. On a failure, the beast within takes over, and you must spend your turn attacking the closest creature. If two or more creatures are at an equal distance away, choose randomly. If you have already spent your action this round, this occurs at the next opportunity, whether that be as your action on your next turn or as an attack of opportunity. If that creature moves away from you, you target the next closest creature. Once you hit a creature in this state, you regain control, and your turn ends. At the end of every turn you spend in this state, you may attempt another saving throw, ending the effect on a success.
No Escape
At 6th level, you channel the Wolf Mother's ability to trap her prey with no hope of escape:
• Whenever you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, its speed drops to 0 for the rest of the turn. This stops any movement they may have been taking.
• Whenever you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, you may make an attempt to grapple that same creature immediately after.
• Creatures within your reach provoke opportunity attacks even if they took the Disengage action.
• When a creature within your reach makes an attack against a target other than you (and that target doesn't have this feat), you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against the attacking creature.
Improved Form of the Beast
Starting at 10th level, your unarmed strike (claw attacks) now do 2d6 damage.
Pack Tactics
Starting at 10th level, you gain advantage on attack rolls against a creature if at least one of the your allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn't incapacitated.
Overwhelming Savagery
Beginning at 14th level, when an enemy is grappled by you, it must make a Strength Save (DC 16) or be knocked prone. Prone enemies have disadvantage to escaping your grapple.
Apex Predator
When you reach 14th level, you have managed to fully contain the beast within. You no longer trigger your Moonlight Mania class feature when you enter a rage. You also become one size larger when you rage.
