Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Warper study how to use their Ki to channel brief changes in the environment around them. They can speed and slow the passage of time, project illusions, and even manipulate space and their movement through it. Whether to aid their combat prowess or manipulate others nearby, these monks can temporarily stretch the fabric of reality to suit their fancy.
Threadpuller
At 3rd level, your studies give you the ability to manifest minor changes in the environment around you by pulling and manipulating the very threads of reality. You can cast the Minor Illusion cantrip without material components.
Additionally, when you hit an enemy with one of your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on the target:
- Reduced Gravity: The target's walking speed is halved until the end of your next turn. During this time, the target can jump twice as high but has disadvantage on Strength saving throws.
- Impulse Shift: You can expend up to 30 feet of your walking speed to shove a target back. The target must make a Strength saving throw. On a failure, the target is shoved back the amount of distance you expend. On a success, they are shoved back half of the distance you expend.
You can only use this ability once per turn, even if you hit with both Flurry of Blows strikes.
Lucid Step
When you use your Step of the Wind, you can spend an additional ki point to gain a fly speed equal to your walking speed that lasts until the end of your next turn. At the end of your next turn, you fall back to the ground. You land prone if you are not already touching the ground when you fall.
Furthermore, you can spend three ki points to cast Mirror Image or Enlarge/Reduce without material components. You can collectively cast these spells a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of one). You regain all uses of these spells after a long rest. At 17th level, you can cast these two spells as many times as your ki points permit.
Combat Warping
Beginning at 11th level, you gain new abilities to manipulate space and time around you. You can cast spend five ki points to cast Blink or Slow without material components. You can collectively cast any of these spells a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). You regain all uses of these spells after a long rest.
Spatial Shift
You have mastered the art of warping and manipulating space. As an action, you can teleport up to 100 feet to any point you can see. If you teleport into the space of another creature, you and the creature swap places. If the creature is willing to swap, they take no damage. If the creature is unwilling, they are still shifted and must make a Charisma Saving Throw, taking 8d6 force damage on a failed save or half that on a successful one. You regain the ability to use this action after a long rest.
