Base Class: Cleric
Lethys concerns herself with prophecy, predetermination, and inevitability. To the Grey Lady, reality self itself has a pattern, and all of existence falls within that grand design. The future is written just as indelibly as the past and the present - and, as such, it can be understood by those with the faith & forbearance to do so.
While many Grey Brothers & Sisters are regarded as having some insight into the machinations of Lady Lethys, only the truly devoted step beyond mere glimpses of the future, and into true prescience. It is said that the most righteous prophets of Lethys even have some ability in the weaving and shaping of the tapestry of fate itself - whether that be guiding the faithful, deceiving the heretical, or tearing enemies’ fate-threads out of Lethys’ Great Pattern altogether.
While the knowledge and insight gained by the faithful of Lethys may not always provide an exact map, it often points in the right direction, or reveals truths that may otherwise go unnoticed - sometimes, the foresight is barely enough to avoid an axe’s blade or point of a dagger by a hair’s breadth, while other times it may provide revelations and truths grand enough to shift the fates of nations.
Glimpse
At 1st level, you periodically receive glimpses of possible futures - just enough to give you an edge in certain situations. You gain the Guidance and Resistance cantrips, and rather than Dexterity, you add your Wisdom modifier to your initiative rolls.
Channel Divinity: Reader of the Weave
Starting at 2nd level, you can look beyond the boundaries and limitations of the physical realm, instead reading the patterns of fate in the threads of reality. As an action, you may spend one use of your Channel Divinity to gain advantage on all Knowledge-related rolls (e.g. History, Religion, Arcana..) for 10 minutes.
Channel Divinity: Read Thoughts
At 6th level, you learn to manipulate the threads of fate itself. Once per long or short rest, you can imbue a melee attack with the fate-breaking magicks. When you hit a creature with a melee weapon attack, you can additional 2d8 psychic damage to the target, in addition to the weapon's damage.
Potent Spellcasting
Starting at 8th level, you add your Wisdom modifier to the damage you deal with any cleric cantrip.
Visions of Fate
Starting at 17th level, you can call up visions of the past that relate to an object you hold or your immediate surroundings. You spend at least 1 minute in meditation and prayer, then receive dreamlike, shadowy glimpses of recent events. You can meditate in this way for a number of minutes equal to your Wisdom score and must maintain concentration during that time, as if you were casting a spell.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Object Reading. Holding an object as you meditate, you can see visions of the object’s previous owner. After meditating for 1 minute, you learn how the owner acquired and lost the object, as well as the most recent significant event involving the object and that owner. If the object was owned by another creature in the recent past (within a number of days equal to your Wisdom score), you can spend 1 additional minute for each owner to learn the same information about that creature.
Area Reading. As you meditate, you see visions of recent events in your immediate vicinity (a room, street, tunnel, clearing, or the like, up to a 50-foot cube), going back a number of days equal to your Wisdom score. For each minute you meditate, you learn about one significant event, beginning with the most recent. Significant events typically involve powerful emotions, such as battles and betrayals, marriages and murders, births and funerals. However, they might also include more mundane events that are nevertheless important in your current situation.
