"When life seems hard, the courageous do not lie down and accept defeat; instead, they are all the more determined to struggle for a better future."  — Queen Elizabeth II

Beauty. Grace. Determination. These are some of the many qualities that embody a Princess. But your heritage means so much more than a life of luxury and poise. As a Princess, you have a higher calling, and a duty to serve your people, even on the battlefield. Your position of power gives you the ability to inspire change in the realm, and you play an integral part in ensuring your allies are aided and your enemies are slain. Thankfully, you will never have to fight these battles alone.  A Princess is only as strong as the people who serve them, and under the War Archetype you gain the abilities necessary to become a fearless warrior and leader.

Title of Power

A Princess can be of any race and creed, and is considered especially fair and beautiful according to their culture.  A Princess is entirely dependent on their title as a source of power, but creatures need not know of this title to be affected by their abilities.  A Princess that falls out of power must find a justification to retain their powers and prowess.  Talk to your DM beforehand about the origin your your nobility, and what your title means to you and your people.  Are you a rebellious heir to a great kingdom?  The noble child of a tribal chief?  The last survivor of a royal culling or coup?  Is there a gender implication to the title in your culture?  Don't be afraid to push the boundaries of what the term "princess" means in your society.

Born to the Saddle

Starting at 3rd level, your mastery as a rider becomes apparent. You have advantage on saving throws made to avoid falling off your mount. If you fall off your mount and descend no more than 10 feet, you can land on your feet if you’re not incapacitated.

Finally, mounting or dismounting a creature costs you only 5 feet of movement, rather than half your speed.

Royal Regiment

When you choose this archetype, starting at 3rd level you may concentrate for 10 minutes to summon a magical Companion to serve you.  They can only be of your own race, and can only act on your command.  Your Companions increase in strength as you level up in this archetype.

At 3rd level you may have one companion summoned at any time, which must have the same stats and abilities as a Guard.

At 10th level, you may summon a companion with the same stats and abilities as a Knight or an Acolyte.

At 15th level, you may have up to two summoned companions, which can have the stats and abilities of a Priest or a Shield Guardian.

Note that if you have a specific type of companion already summoned, you cannot summon anther companion of that type.

Companions take their turn directly after yours.  They may take direction through gestures or spoken words, and will even endure direct harm or death for your sake.  In addition to being able to act, they may add your Charisma modifier to any attacks, damage rolls, and saving throws as long as they can see or hear you.

If your Companions reach 0 hit points, they are destroyed.  You may only summon one companion per dawn.

Faithful Servants

At 3rd level you gain the ability to summon a Guard to fight along side you.

Loyal Consort

At 15th Level, you may summon a Priest and a Shield Guardian.

Sturdy Companions

At 10th level, you may summon a Knight and an Acolyte.

Uplifting Voice

At 7th level, your voice carries an unearthly beauty and fierceness that bolsters the morale of your allies.  As a bonus action on your turn, you may chose up to 3 allies of your choice that can hear you and grant them advantage on their next attack roll or saving throw until your next turn.  You may use this feature a total number of times equal to 1+ your CHA modifier per Short Rest.

Hold the Line

At 10th level, you become a master of locking down your enemies. Creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they move 5 feet or more while within your reach, and if you hit a creature with an opportunity attack, the target’s speed is reduced to 0 until the end of the current turn.

Ferocious Charger

Starting at 15th level, you can run down your foes, whether you’re mounted or not. If you move at least 10 feet in a straight line right before attacking a creature and you hit it with the attack, that target must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier) or be knocked prone. You can use this feature only once on each of your turns.

Majestic Aura

Starting at 18th level, you radiate a grace and fearlessness that empowers those around you.  Yourself and all allies within a 60ft radius cannot be charmed or frightened, and have advantage on saving throws against spells that put you to sleep.
