Base Class: Wizard
You are a student of the magic but unlike other wizards you tattoo yourself with your spells. You still carry a spell book with you but the spells you want to use for the day are tattooed on your body. You use the artistry of tattoos to unleash the magic surrounding you. You expand your knowledge by studying the arts and molding those arts to your body.
By tattooing a symbol of the tattoo on your body surrounded by the words of power that inacts the spell. When you use a spell the tattoo disappears from your body and you must re-add the tattoo to use it again. The number of tattoos your have equal the number of spells that you can know for each level for example: If you can know 4 first level and 2 second level spells you can have a total of 6 tattoos. If you plan on casting a spell more than once you must have the tattoo on you more than once. You can cast a spell at a higher level if you wish and the spell has that ability. These tattoos must be different than the basic spell tattoo. For example a level two fire bolt may have more flames coming out of it than the regular one.
With your training you have learned how to create a simple construct that will tattoo you every night while you sleep. You must decide prior to sleep what tattoos you will have. You decide what the symbol for each tattoo looks like. For example: If you have the ice wall spell the tattoo can look like a glittering ice wall or a wall being hit with an ice blast. You decide what the tattoo looks like but once it has been decided it will remain that way throughout.
Tattoo Ink
The tattoo ink used to place the tattoos on your body is a special ink. The ink is regular ink that is used in writing however it is combined with the components needed to cast the spell. For example. Armor of Agathys requires a cup of water as a material component, so in order to make the ink for the tattoo water must be combined to the ink prior to the ink being applied to the skin.
Mixing ink for the tattoos will use one hour of time to mix per tattoo. Each mix you make will be enough for three tattoos, so each mixture must use 3 of the material components.
Tattoo Artist
You can the use of an contruct companion called a tattooer. The tattooer will take instructions from you on what tattoos to add or remove prior to a long rest. You must mix the ink using your painters kit and it must include all material components.
As you gain more experience with tattooing and upgrade your contruct you may be able to add tattoos to others bodies to permanently add skills or their lives.
Bonus Proficiencies
At first level you gain proficiency with painters supplies. This allows you to mix the ink used for your tattoos.
Favorite Artist
Your connection with your artist has grown. He can now add one tattoo during a short rest. This can only replace a used tattoo and a new tattoo can not be leaned. This can only be used once a day and will gain re-use after a long rest.
Ink Supplier
Your expertise at mixing ink for your tattoos has heightened. You have learned how to use less of your material components to provide more ink. Each mixture of ink will now last for twice as long. Foe example using the previous example in the Tattoo ink description. If you use 3 material components the ink will now last for 6 tattoos.
Tattoo Replacement
During a short rest your artist will be able to remove and add a new tattoo to your prepared spells. This can only be used once a day and you will regain it upon a long rest.
