Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Blinkers have a natural affinity for instant travel. Their powers manifest in a way that seems to be trying to find a way to remove itself from reality, succeeding only in moving its wielder in erratic, unpredictable, ways. Until controlled.

Blinkers are often quite paranoid, selfish, individuals, using their very defensive powers to escape fights and danger, but those with this power will often find a way to use it to a larger benefit than their own. Quickly aiding downed allies; bringing a party member a dropped or lost weapon; pulling a healer out of the way of a dragon's breath: all ways a Sorcerer of this skill can find their truest potential with the powers imbued to them.

Someone with these sort of powers usually is a descendant of a creature with such innate powers already. Mayhaps a wizard who failed a teleportation roll and ended up misplacing his time-space continuum, or maybe you got bit by phase spider which gave you these powers. Nevertheless, your power stems from the unstability itself.

Ungraspable Step

Starting at 1st level, your unstability manifests as minor ticks and shifts in space.

You only expend 5 feet of your movement when standing up from prone, and you make checks to escape grapples or restraints with advantage.

Starting at 1st level, your existence in a space stuck between planes makes your movement unpredictable. Whenever you blink using this feature, you must be able to see the space where you want to go. If the space is already occupied, you instead blink to the closest unoccupied space towards where you originally were.

You can use your bonus action to teleport yourself 15 feet. This costs no spell slots, but can be affected by the following metamagics at the cost of 1 Sorcery Point each.

Distant Spell - You can double the range of your bonus action teleport for this turn.

Twinned Spell - You can bring another person with you when you bonus action teleport, as long as they are within touching range and willing.

At 6th level the distance becomes 30 feet, at 14th level it becomes 45 feet, and at 18th level it becomes 60 feet.

You can use this feature an amount of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one), and recharge all uses at the end of a long rest.

Constant Displacement

At 6th level your spacial ticks and shifts give you enhanced agility and reactions.

You can add your Charisma modifier into your Dexterity saving throws and initiative checks. Additionally, surprise attacks made against aren't made with advantage.

Maestro of Movement

At 14th level your continuous shifts in the continuum expand even to your spells.

Whenever you use your Blink feature, the next weapon attack made against is made with disadvantage.

Additionally, you learn the spells teleport and plane shift and can cast them using 7 sorcery points, instead of spell slots.

A Space in Time

Starting at 18th level, your powers expand beyond your own body, creating a domain where you control the space.

As an action, you can create a sphere that is within 60 feet of you in an area that you can see. The domain is a sphere with 60 feet of radius and lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (no action required)

A creature in the area is affected by one of the effects below. You can apply a different effect to different creatures as long as they are in the area. The effect lasts for as long as they are in it.

  • The creatures movement speed is tripled.
  • The creatures movement speed is reduced to 0 feet.
  • The creatures suffers disadvantage on all attack rolls.
  • The creature gains advantage on all attack rolls.

Additionally, while you are in the area yourself, you make attack rolls and saving throws with advantage, and you can use your Blink feature to go wherever you want in the area.

Once you use this feature you can't use it again until you finish a long rest, or expend 9 sorcery points to use it again.
