Base Class: Monk
Gentle Fist Technique
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain access to what is called the Eight Trigrams. By spending 1 ki point you can adapt your eye sight to the open your ocular senses to your opponents ki. Whenever you hit a creature with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows, you can impose one of the following effects on that target:
- It must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be knocked back 10 feet
- It can't take reactions until the end of your next turn
Acupuncturist
At 6th level, your knowledge of pressure points and ki can relieve ailments from your allies. As an action, you can spend a ki point to end an effect or spell affecting your allies. You can spend 3 ki points to cure a disease. You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
Flurry of Palms
At 11th level, you can begin to use your ki to enhance the effectiveness of your flurry of blows. As a reaction, after you use your flurry of blows bonus action, you can spend a number of ki points (indicated below) to perform additional precise strikes on your opponent. These additional strikes do not do damage to the target:
- 1 ki point: Two additional strikes
- 2 ki points: Four additional strikes
- 3 ki points: Eight additional strikes
- 4 ki points: Sixteen additional strikes
- 5 ki points: Thirty-two additional strikes
When you spend these ki points, as a reaction, the target can make a Dexterity saving throw to block these strikes (8 + proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier). On a failed save, that set of strikes hits, on a success that set of strikes is blocked.
- Two additional strikes: Target's speed is reduced by 10 feet until the end of their turn
- Four additional strikes: Target's speed is reduced by 15 feet until the end of their turn
- Eight additional strikes: Target has disadvantage on their next attack roll
- Sixteen additional strikes: Target has disadvantage on their next saving throw
- Thirty-two additional strike: Target's speed is reduced to 0 until the end of their next turn
Sixty-Four Palms Strike
At 17th level, you gain the ability to shut down someone's body, rendering them useless or even dead. When you use a ki point to use your flurry of blows bonus action, you can forgo that action and instead force the opponent to make a constitution saving throw (10 + your proficiency bonus + Wisdom modifier). On a failed save, as a reaction you can spend 6 ki points to perform "Eight Trigrams : Sixty-Four Palms". On a successful save, you may take your traditional flurry of blows bonus action.
Eight Trigrams: Sixty-four Palms
When you engage and perform this technique successfully, the following effects on the target take place
- Target's speed becomes 0 until the end of their following turn
- They have disadvantage on all attack rolls until the end of their following turn
- They have disadvantage on all saving throws until the end of their following turn
- They are pushed back 20 feet in a straight line from you.
If the target is below 100 hit points, the target must make a constitution saving throw (8 + your proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier). On a failed save, the target dies.
At the end of your turn after performing this technique, you suffer one level of exhaustion.
