Base Class: Bard
These bards are known far and wide as either saviors of entire towns or as plagues that have destroyed entire ways of life. They walk a fine line between the hero or the villain of their own ballads.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Blood at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and martial weapons.
Blood song
At 3rd level you can use your action to play either the song of wound closure or the song of gash sundering affecting up to 3 targets that can hear and are not incapacitated within a 15 ft cube.
The song of wound closure starts and accelerates the natural healing process of your body. All targets selected are healed for your proficiency bonus hp and gain 1 hp at the beginning of their turn for 2 rounds. Any target affected by this song loses its benefits if they are incapacitated.
The song of gash sundering makes any wounds a creature has whether they be internal or external start to bleed. All non full hp targets take your proficiency bonus in bleeding dmg on a failed CON save plus at the start of their turns for 4 rounds, and no damage on a success. The save can be retried to stop the bleeding at the end of a targets turn.
Your songs grow in power at 7th (4 targets, 20ft cube), 11th (5 targets, 25ft cube), and 15th (6 targets, 30ft cube) levels of the bard class.
Extra Attack
Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
Battle Magic
At 14th level, you have mastered the art of weaving spellcasting, weapon use, and blood songs into a single harmonious act. When you use your action to attack or cast a bard spell effecting a target of a blood song you can play one blood song as a bonus action.

Posted Nov 7, 2018The damage and the healing seem to be very low and like it will be useless at later levels. Do you think that maybe inspiration would work and therefore scale more with the class?

Posted Aug 25, 2018A character I liked in the past had similar abilities so I thought I would try to replicate them in DnD. I'm very new to homebrewing content so I would love any constructive criticisms you all may have to offer.
