Base Class: Monk
Steel Body Training is possibly the hardest training in the world. A smith puts metal through the fire so he can mold it into the shape of weapon he wants. Steel Body Training is the fire we put our mind and body through so we can mold ourselves into the martial artist we want to be. If it’s not difficult, if it’s not challenging, there can be no transformation. Steel Body Training is only for those martial artists who dedicate their life to the art. It’s boring. It’s lonely. It’s tough mentally and physically. It teaches us the limits of our mind and body and how to go beyond them. It’s potentially dangerous and if we’re not careful we can easily get injured.
Many techniques make up the fundamentals of the Way of the Steel body, making practitioners very durable and very strong.
Reinforced Strike Technique
As you strike your opponent you can feel the skin and muscle in the body part you strike with harden with the toughness of steel. At 3rd level, by spending 1 ki point you can add a number of 1d4 dice equal to your monk level plus your DEX and Proficiency Bonus to one of your Flurry of blows unarmed strikes
- For each monk level, you can add 1d4 of damage
- For each d4 that rolls a 4, that damage is considered magical for the purpose of avoiding non-magical damage resistances
- you are proficient in this attack
- this feature can only be used once per turn and may only be used on one of your flurry of blows unarmed strikes
Enhanced Defence
As your muscles have hardened due to rigorous training your body has learned a sort of ''hightened state of defence'' allowing you greater chance at avoiding attacks and increase your armor class. Beginning at 5th level, you gain a bonus +1 to AC
Steel Durability
At sixth level. After seeing many battles and recieving many crushing blows, your body has tempered to the point where it's overall durability has been increased resulting in an increase in your total Hit Points
Steel Resilience
Beginning at 11th level whenever you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to spend a ki point to reduce the damage by 2d8 + your DEX modifier + Proficiency.
If you reduce the damage to 0, you may spend 1 extra ki point to make an unarmed melee attack against the attacking creature as part of the same reaction if it is within range.
This does not work for ranged attacks
Steel Strength
At 15th level you have prepared your body and senses for peak performance. Increasing your strength score by 2
