Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks who dedicate themselves to the Way of the Grasping Palm eschew the often intricate techniques of other Monks. Instead, these Monks focus on overwhelming their foes with prodigious strength and crafty throws. Masters of the Grasping Palm learn to shrug off blows and impose their prowess on beings much larger than they are.

Iron Grip Technique

At level 3, you gain proficiency in Athletics (if you don’t already have it). You also gain the ability to use a bonus action to attempt to grapple a target. As well, you may add twice your proficiency bonus to any grapple or shove attempt as well as to resist being grappled or shoved.

Massive Body

Also at level 3, you can choose to use STR instead of DEX when calculating your unarmored defense. (AC = 10 + STR/DEX + WIS)

Thousand Hands

At level 6, you learn how to overwhelm an opponent with vicious combinations of strikes, holds, and throws. On your turn after using Flurry of Blows, if all of your attacks were unarmed strikes and targeted only one creature, you can make one additional unarmed strike against that creature (for a total of 5 unarmed strikes).

In addition, you may substitute a grapple or shove attempt for any of these attacks.

Irresistible Charge

At level 11, you gain the ability to channel your Ki into a burst of forceful movement. When moving in a straight line, you may spend 2 Ki points to initiate a charge if you move at least 10 ft. While charging, you ignore difficult terrain. You also have advantage for any attempt to shove an opponent.

If you activate Thousand Hands while charging, the target must make a STR save vs. your Ki save DC or be pushed back 5 ft. whenever you hit that target with one of the attacks granted by your Flurry of Blows (including the 3rd unarmed strike granted by Thousand Hands). The target can only be pushed straight backwards (along the line of your charge), and the target has disadvantage when attempting to resist being pushed backwards.

If the target fails its save and is pushed back 5 ft., your charge allows you to immediately move to the space previously occupied by the target. If you hit the target more than once and the target fails more than one save, you may choose to follow the target as it moves backward.

Supreme Body

At level 17, you may channel your Ki to enter a state of superior strength and power. As a bonus action, you may spend 3 Ki points to activate this ability.

You may now grapple, move, and/or shove any creature up to two sizes larger than you (e.g., if you are Medium-sized, you may grapple a creature up to Huge-sized.) You also gain resistance to all Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage. This state lasts for one minute.
