Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

The Shadowblade takes care of the dirty jobs that other citizens don't, and don't want to think about. Trained by the secret Shadowblade Order, this halfl-elf is a master infiltrator for his community, guild, or clan. He can penetrate deep into enemy territory to take out that pesky ogre war chief before halfling settlements are even attacked. He can also retrieve the clan leader's daughter after she rides off into the sunset with the wrong type of guy. The Shadowblade ventures boldly into the shadow, ambushing threats before they can endanger his people and allies.

Restriction: Half-elves Only

This exclusive sect of the Shadowblade Order only trains fellow half-elves, without exception.

Into Darkness

You undergo a special rite with a cleric of Erevan Ilesere, the Elven deity of Mischief and Rogues. The god bestows a special boon upon you. When you reach 3rd level, this increases the range of your darkvision by 30 feet.

For a much needed edge against enemies that see in the dark, this rite also helps you evade creatures that rely on darkvision. While in darkness, you are invisible to any creature that relies on darkvision to see you in that darkness.

Shadowblade Magic

The Shadowblade Order does not exclude the effectiveness of using magic as a tool to get the job done. Starting at 3rd level, you learn the minor illusion cantrip if you don't already know it. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

Ambuscade

At 3rd level, you master the art of the ambush. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Wisdom modifier.

At the start of your first turn of each combat, your walking speed increases by 10 feet, which lasts until the end of that turn. If you take the Attack action on that turn, you can make one additional weapon attack as part of that action. If that attack hits, the target takes an extra 1d8 damage of the weapon’s damage type.

Iron Mind

By 9th level, you have honed your ability to resist the mind-altering powers of your prey. You gain proficiency in Wisdom saving throws. If you already have this proficiency, you instead gain proficiency in Intelligence or Charisma saving throws (your choice).

Blade's Flurry

Starting at 13th level, you learn to recover with unexpected speed in combat. Once on each of your turns when you miss with a weapon attack, you can make another weapon attack.

Shadow Dodge

Starting at 17th level, you can dodge in unforeseen ways, with wisps of supernatural shadow around you. Whenever a creature makes an attack roll against you and doesn’t have advantage on the roll, you can use your Reaction to impose disadvantage on it.

You must use this feature before you know the outcome of the attack roll. If the creature misses, you may respond with an opportunity attack using the same Reaction.
