Base Class: Rogue
Everyone has an inner shadow - the spirit within that feeds on their rebellious nature. You have made a deal with your shadow and learned to harness its power for your own gain, allowing you to use the font of magic buried within you to right the wrongs in the world.
Spellcasting
When you reach 3rd level, you gain the ability to cast spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the sorcerer spell list.
Cantrips
You learn three cantrips: minor illusion and two other cantrips of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. You learn another sorcerer cantrip of your choice at 10th level.
Spell Slots
The Phantom Thief Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your sorcerer spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell charm person and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast charm person using either slot.
Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher
The number of spells known is shown in the Phantom Thief Spellcasting Table.
You know three 1st-level sorcerer spells of your choice.
The Spells Known column of the Phantom Thief Spellcasting table shows when you learn more sorcerer spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the sorcerer spells you know with another spell of your choice from the sorcerer spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots.
Spellcasting Ability
Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your sorcerer spells, since your spells come from the spirit of rebellion within you. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a sorcerer spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Spirit of Rebellion
Spirit of Rebellion
Due to your rebellious nature, you have gained access to a spirit who will aid in your quest. When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, also choose a Persona from the list below. This choice will determine the appearance of your Persona and grant you access to additional signature spells - once you have the proper slot to cast each spell - that do not count against your total number of spells known. Charisma is your Spellcasting modifier for each signature spell, and you may only have access to one set of signature spells at any time.

In order to summon your Persona, you must spend an action to evoke them. Once summoned, They appear as a large figure behind you and a mask representing your Persona appears on your face. Using an action to remove the mask will banish your Persona into an alternate plane of existence. This mask acts as a spellcasting focus and you must be wearing it in order to cast your Phantom Thief spells.
In addition, when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Charisma saving throws and lose proficiency in Intelligence saving throws.

Versatile Soul
Beginning at 9th level, you gain the ability to alter your persona at will. After finishing a long rest, you may choose to switch the spirit that defines your persona, swapping all signature spells you have access to for those of the newly-chosen spirit.
Beginning at 17th level, your Persona grants you access to magic beyond your comprehension. When you finish a long rest, choose one spell of 5th level from any spell list. You may cast this spell once per long rest without the need for material components and without expending a spell slot. Once you use this spell, you may not use it again until you complete a long rest.
Phantom Stealth
Beginning at 9th level, your Persona grants you improved stealth. While your Persona is summoned, you gain a bonus to Stealth checks equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). In addition, you also gain a bonus to damage equal to your Charisma modifier on your first attack against a surprised enemy.
Baton Pass
Beginning at 13th level, you become adept at exploiting an enemy's weakness. When you hit an enemy with a natural roll of 20 they must succeed on a Constitution save or be stunned until the end of your next turn. If an enemy is already stunned, charmed, or otherwise incapacitated, then they are not stunned. In addition, if you stun an enemy with an attack, then you may make an additional attack against a different creature or a friendly creature you choose can immediately use its reaction to make one weapon attack.
Thief of Hearts
Beginning at 17th level, you can force an enemy to lose their will to fight. Once per day, You can use your bonus action to send your Persona to steal an enemy's desire. For the next three rounds, the enemy must make a Wisdom saving throw against your Spell Save DC (During which time you are restricted from spellcasting). If the enemy fails all three checks, their desires are stolen and their will to fight is broken. They will become friendly to you until they die or you use this ability again, though they will never again fight or otherwise cause harm. In addition, they will immediately confess their darkest secrets and become unable to lie, lest the guilt overwhelm their heart. If the target succeeds on any check, they are unaffected and become immune to the power for one month.

Posted Jul 20, 2021Hi there! For some reason the spell list doesn't show up when I try to use this subclass. Is there any possible way to fix this? I have a player who very much would like to use this subclass while also using dndbeyond for their character sheet.
