Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Beyond the morality of society and the dedication to kings is the unwavering truth of life. It changes. It develops. It becomes more in ways unfathomable to mortals, and only partially understood by the divine. Paladins who undertake the Oath of Progress become humble servants in protecting and championing the ideal that life carries on. It changes and alters, and becomes something independent of what people like, or see as right. While it is most commonly seen in application towards technology, cities, and modern life, some paladins apply this oath to protect nature or fight unholy magics.

By 7th level, you constantly emit a bolstering, unstoppable aura. Allies that start their turn or enter within 10 feet of you have their movement speed increased by 10 feet and may disengage as a bonus action until the end of their turn.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Unwavering Machine

At 15th level, your determination towards a cause allows you to temporarily shrug off even the most debilitating effects. At the start of your turn, you may ignore the effects of all conditions you have upon you until the start of your next turn. For every turn you use this effect after the first, take 1 level of exhaustion.

You may use this feature without an exhaustion penalty again after taking a long or short rest.

Avatar of the Architect.

At 20th level, you can tap into the fabric of advancement. Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 hour, you gain the following benefits:

  • You emanate a stopping aura in a 30-foot radius. The first time any enemy creatures enters the aura or starts its turn there during a battle, the creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or have their movement speed reduced to 0 and may not make attacks of opportunity for 1 minute or until it takes any damage. Attack rolls against the creature have advantage.
  • You have advantage on all saving throws.
