Base Class: Druid
A treesinger hears the hum of the forest, feels the rhythm of the earth's beating heart, and sings along with it.
Grove Musician
You learn one bard cantrip of your choice. It counts as a druid cantrip for you.
You also gain proficiency in a musical instrument of your choice and may use that instrument as a spellcasting focus for your druid spells.
Finally, you have advantage on Charisma (Performance) checks when using that instrument to entertain or delight those who would be impressed by hearing the song of the grove (e.g. treants, awakened plants, other druids, nature-based deities) at the DM's discretion.
Song of the Forest
Beginning at 2nd level, when using your treesinger instrument, you can revitalize your wounded allies during a short rest. If you or any friendly, living creatures who can hear your performance regain hit points at the end of the short rest by spending one or more Hit Dice, each of those creatures regains an extra 1d6 hit points. This ability does not work on constructs, undead, or elementals.
The extra hit points increase when you reach certain levels in this class: to 1d8 at 9th level, to 1d10 at 13th level, and to 1d12 at 17th level.
Verdant Magic
A treesinger forms a mystic bond with the pulsing beat of natural life. This bond infuses you with the ability to cast certain spells at 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level. Once you gain access to a spell from the below list, you always have it prepared and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

Plant Shape
Starting at 2nd level, you can use your action to magically assume the shape of certain plant creatures. You can use this feature twice. You regain expended uses when you finish a short or long rest. Your druid level determines the plants you can transform into, as shown in the Plant Shapes table.
You can stay in a plant shape for a number of hours equal to half your druid level (rounded down). You then revert to your normal form unless you expend another use of this feature, with exceptions noted below. You can revert to your normal form earlier by using a bonus action on your turn. You automatically revert if you fall unconscious, drop to 0 hit points, or die.
This feature replaces and otherwise functions like the druid wild shape ability and subsequent improvements.

Treant** |
* Awakened Shrub can be maintained indefinitely, even while sleeping, though not at 0 hit points or upon death.
** Because of the stress of this shape, Treant form and can only be used once per long rest and persists for a maximum of one hour, regardless of other plant shape improvements.
Dryad's Stride
Starting at 6th level, nonmagical difficult terrain that is plant-based (e.g. overgrowth, jungles, etc.) costs you no extra movement. You can also pass through nonmagical plants without being slowed by them and without taking damage from them if they have thorns, spines, or a similar hazard. You have advantage on saving throws against plants that are magically created or manipulated to impede movement, such those created by the entangle spell.
In addition, you have the ability to cast tree stride once per long rest without expending a spell slot. You gain an additional use of this ability at level 14.
Oaken Fortitude
When you reach 10th level, you are immune to poison and disease.
Verdant Sanctuary
When you reach 14th level, the forest can sense a treesinger's connection to nature. When a plant creature attacks you, that creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your druid spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature must choose a different target, or the attack automatically misses. On a successful save, the creature is immune to this effect for 24 hours. The creature is aware of this effect before it makes its attack against you.
In addition, you can cast druid grove once per long rest without preparation or expending a spell slot. The spell must be cast in a naturally wooded area, such as a forest or jungle.

Posted Mar 5, 2023It seems that the bard cantrip selection under Grove Musician isn’t working. Love this subclass though!
