Base Class: Monk
When you pick this tradition at 3rd level, you gain the ability to create a bond with a basic ooze (A Grey ooze, or a Ochre Jelly). The ooze creates a bond with you and you gain its innate abilities, so long as it stays well fed. When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain the ability to make a psychic connection with a simple ooze. You can go to a dark and damp place or go to a temple that teaches this tradition, and meditate for 2d6 hours to call upon either a Ochre Jelly or a Grey Ooze. In doing so enables you to gain the features of this tradition. Once you make this connection it is treated as if you attuned to a sentient magic item (and uses up an attunement). While attuned with the Ooze you require Thrice the amount of food and water each day. You don't receive any poison or diseases from eating/drinking while you're attuned to the Ooze. If you fail to Eat/Drink the amount you need for the day, roll a D20. On a 1 the Ooze will leave you and you lose any and all benefits it would give you. You can choose to meditate again and switch which Ooze you are attuned to.
Ooze Strike
When you hit with an unarmed-strike as your action, you can expend 1 ki point to deal 1d4 acid damage. The die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table. Depending on your ooze type, you gain the following bonus:
Ochre Jelly:
- If the target is a creature, it must make a strength check with a DC of 10 + Dexterity modifier. On a failure, the creature is grappled and restrained until the start of your next turn.
Grey Ooze:
- If the target is wearing nonmagical metal armor, its armor is partly corroded and takes a permanent and cumulative −1 penalty to the AC it offers. The armor is destroyed if the penalty reduces its AC to 10.
Ooze Versatility
Your Ooze can enable greater forms of versatility. You can spend 2 ki point to:
Grey Ooze
- You have advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) check while near a pool of water or rocky Terrain. While Hidden using this ability you appear as either oily water or a wet rock. .
- As a reaction you make any nonmagical weapon made of metal that hits you corrodes. After dealing damage, the weapon takes a permanent and cumulative −1 penalty to damage rolls. If its penalty drops to −5, the weapon is destroyed. Nonmagical ammunition made of metal that hit you is destroyed after dealing damage.
- You can also burn through 2-inch thick non-magical metal as a full action
Ochre Jelly
- You can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
- As a reaction you can make yourself immune to any lightning or slashing damage that you would take this turn.
Slime Form
AS you connection to your symbiote deeps so does your understanding of each others movements. As an action you can have your Ooze covers your body. While covered you gain the following:
Gray Ooze - A creature that touches the or hits you with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 9 (2d8) acid damage. Any nonmagical weapon that hits the you corrodes. After dealing damage, the weapon takes a permanent and cumulative −1 penalty to damage rolls. If its penalty drops to −5, the weapon is destroyed. Nonmagical ammunition that hits the you is destroyed after dealing damage.
Ochre Jelly - When a you are subjected to lightning or slashing damage, you create a Ooze clone, if you have at least 10 hit points and are small or larger. You and the new clone's hit points are equal to half the your original HP , rounded down. The Clone has a INT, WIS, and Cha of 1. Otherwise, it shares your AC, CON, STR, and DEX. You and the Clone are treated as 1 size smaller. You grow to full size after a long rest.
Black Pudding Master
You have a great understanding of The Way of Symbiosis. While attuned to an Ooze you can meditate for 4d6 hours in a dark, damp location, or a monastery of your tradition. After you do so an ooze opposite of yours appears and attunes to you. while attuned to both Ochre Jelly and a Grey Ooze, any manifestation of the Oozes' abilities appear oily, Jet black in color and texture. You need to consume 8 times the amount of Food/Water a regular Pc would require. You gain all abilities associated with the Grey Ooze and the Ochre jelly.
