A Witch Hunter has dedicated themselves to become at odds with those who utilize magic. The degree of their dedication can range, the Witch Hunter may see themselves as one who understands that magic is a tool that needs to be monitored carefully, but they may also view magic as being chaotic and it's usage as an affront to the survival of others. Some do not believe so harshly as such zealots, instead advocating for a safeguard for the innocent. Whatever the motivations may be, these warriors view themselves as a safeguard for those around them and have worked to master their craft in hunting those who abuse the works of magic.

Relentless Pursuit

Starting at 3rd level, your determination and adrenaline fuels you in battle to advance or take cover when under attack by magic. When you are targeted by a spell, even if the spell does not hit, you may use your reaction to move half your speed. Your movement does not provoke attacks of opportunity. This movement takes place after the spell is cast and action completed.

Know Thine Enemy

At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Arcana and History skills if you don't already have it. Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of those proficiencies.

Occult Resistance

Starting at 7th level, your interaction with magic has left you strengthened to its effects. You gain advantage on saving throws against all spells.

Hunter's Instincts

At 10th level, your reaction speed increases as your knowledge of spell casting does, leading to you gaining the ability to halt spellcasting. When a creature within reach of your opportunity attacks casts a spell, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature. If your attack hits, and that creature is concentrating on a spell, that creature must make a concentration check, on a fail the spell fails.

Vengeance of the Hunter

Starting at 15th level, your penchant for battling mages and witches has led to you learning how to harm them the most. When you make an attack against a creature that has cast a spell within the last minute, once per turn you may deal an additional 1d8 damage of your weapon damage type.

Arcane Channeling

Starting at 18th level, you gain the ability to channel and redirect spells. If you would be targeted by a spell, you may choose to channel that spell towards a different target. In doing so, you instead take no damage. You may use this ability once per long rest.
