Base Class: Barbarian
Those who follow the path of the quake are a force to be wary of. Pushing their weapon to the ground, they can force the earth to shake the ground beneath their foes. They can bring about eruptions of stone with a well placed step. Their knowledge of the earth grants them strength.
Understand the Earth
When you choose to follow the Path of the Quake, you learn to understand the vibrations of the world. At 3rd level, you gain the tremorsense ability.
Concentrated Tremor
At 3rd level, you've learned enough of the earth to cause the earth to shake in a single, concentrated point. As a bonus action while raging, you can cause the ground to shake beneath 1 creature within 20 feet of you. The creature must make a Constitution saving throw equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. On a fail, the creature will be knocked prone. At 6th level, this ability can be extended to 2 creatures instead of 1.
Groundbreaking Shards
At 6th level, you have learned to use your knowledge of the earth to precisely break the ground. While raging, you can use an action to cause parts of the ground to launch at a targeted creature at high velocities across up to twenty feet. You roll to hit, using your Strength modifier. On a hit, if the material used is soft, such as sand, dirt, sand, or mud, it will do 1d4 bludgeoning damage and the target must make a Constitution saving throw equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. If the creature fails the saving throw, it is blinded until its next turn. If the material used is hard, such as stone or wood, it will deal 1d8 piercing damage.
Shifting Terrain
At 10th level, you've learned to create hazardous terrain with the stomp of a foot. With one use, regaining the use every short or long rest, you can use an action to cause the surrounding area to suddenly begin to shift, a mild earthquake beginning in the area. The area is now considered difficult terrain for all creatures within 100 feet of yourself for the next ten minutes. You can select up to three creatures, as well as yourself, that are not affected by the difficult terrain.
Core Finality
At 14th level, you have learned to break the earth and bend it fully to your will. With one use while raging, restoring the use every long rest, you can cause the ground at a single point within a 5 foot cube to erupt. If a creature is standing within the cube, they must make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. On a fail, the creature will take 5d12 bludgeoning damage, and half as much on a successful save.
