Bard
Base Class: Bard

As a bard, have you ever wanted to be the sleaziest merchant in all the land? If yes, then the College of Mercantilism is for you! These bards are not quite masters of combat, though they do take the spell list of the artificer into their bag of tricks. Their real jobs are talking themselves or the party out of (or depending on the character, into) trouble, and getting themselves (and maybe the party if they are feeling generous) filthy stinking rich!

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Mercantilism at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with one skill of your choice.

Merchant's Tongue

As a College of Mercantilism Bard, at level three you gain the ability to use that merchant's tongue of yours. What you can do is expend one of your bardic inspirations to give yourself advantage on any check that uses one of the charisma based skills.

Self Protecting Merchant

When a fight is beginning, a College of Mercantilism bard can use a reaction to use attack a target of their choice however* they want. The astric is there because the attack HAS to be damaging, and also has to be able to hit in the first place (as in the target has to be within the attack's range). This attack is and its damage (if it hits) is rolled before initiative.

Deal Maker

One a College of Mercantilism Bard hits level 14, they gain the ability to REALLY sell their wares. At the cost of 1 bardic inspiration, they can double the selling price of their items. This effect lasts for 5 minutes.
