Base Class: Monk
Not all monks forsake wealth and material possessions. Some seek enlightenment through comfortable living and contemplation. Monks who choose the path the way of the Affluent Spirit, tend to have costly and extravagant lifestyles. Comparatively when contrasted with other monks, they choose to seek inner peace from the comfort of silk robes, expensive inns and aid from servants rather than grueling themselves with hard work and dedication. Disciples of this path are not necessarily averse to generosity, however they always put themselves first.
Glamour
You may spend 2 (two) ki points to magically clean the clothes you are wearing and touch up your appearance. This also gives you a pleasant aroma. You have advantage on your next persuasion roll if you have to make a check within an hour from using this ability. You must activate this ability before being asked to make a check.
Flaunt it
Once per long rest you may use a bonus action to cause light to emanate from any jewelry, sequins or other reflective items you are wearing. This sheds bright light in a 30ft radius and dim light another 30ft beyond that. Creatures within five feet of the source that rely on sight are considered blind (you are immune to this effect). This effect lasts until the end of your next turn. You may unequip the item and it will continue to emanate light until the end of the turn after you initiated it if it's value is greater than 200 gold. If it is worth less it will stop emitting light when contact breaks with the player.
Make it go away
At 11th level, you gain the ability to cast banishment with a spell dc of 10 + your wisdom modifier + your proficiency modifier. The range of this spell is reduced to 10ft. You cast this spell by using your action to charge 10 golds worth of currency with 4 ki points of magical energy and throwing it at your target. The gold is consumed by the spell.
Money is Power
At 17th level, you may attune to up to four magical items. You may also craft (if proficient in smithy or jeweling) or commission a magical totem with a value of 500 gold investment. The totem can take the form of a pendulum or amulet made of pure gold with a doorway embossed on it. You may only have one totem at a time. This item if crafted or commissioned only costs 500 gold no matter of method, and is never worth more than 500 gold to normal folk (other monks of the way of the affluent spirit may see more value in it depending on their needs). If you have this totem you may cast the spell magnificent mansion for 6 ki points. The totem is not consumed by the spell.
