Base Class: Barbarian
Rites of Immolation
It is said that fire rages as it burns, consuming and destroying all in its path. For some barbarians, anger and rage manifest themselves in as this fire in the most literal sense, allowing them to breath fire like the Dragonborn warriors that first developed these techniques. Barbarians that follow this path spend years training themselves the sacred immolation rites required to harness this power, often immolating themselves and those around them in the process. But for those that succeed, the fury and devastation of fire is an incredible force in battle, granting these warriors a distinct advantage against anything- and everything- that can burn.
Raging Fire
Starting at 3rd level, you embrace the training of the Firebreathers and begin to practice the immolation rites as you charge into combat.
When you enter rage, you ignite your weapons with your fiery breath, drawing deep on your inner inferno. For the duration of your rage, your weapon attacks deal extra fire damage equal to your Rage Damage (as shown in the Rage Damage column of the Barbarian table) on each hit. In addition, as part of the Attack action on your turn, you can replace one of your attacks with a breath of fire in a 15ft line, originating from your space. All creatures in this line must make a Dexterity Saving throw (DC= 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier), taking 3d6 fire damage on a failed save, and half as much damage on a successful save.
Prodigy of Flames
Also at 3rd level, as a result of your experience with fire-taming, you gain proficiency in Performance and gain resistance to fire damage.
Breath of the Dragon
At 6th level, you have extensively practiced the art of fire breathing, expanding your capabilities to rival those of the Dragonborn and eventually, dragons themselves. As an action on your turn, you can breath of a torrent of fire in a 30ft cone. Any creatures within the area must make a dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your constitution modifier), taking 6d6 fire damage on a failed save and half as much if they succeed. You can use this feature once per rage.
At 11th level the fire damage dealt by this feature ignores resistance to fire damage.
Heart of the Inferno
At 10th level, your burning rage and affinity with fire has granted you a measure of protection against even the most ferocious of flames. Whilst you are raging, you are immune to fire damage. Moreover, you no longer suffer the effects of extreme cold and have resistance to cold damage, with your inner fire keeping you safe from the dangers of the cold.
Immolating Charge
At 14th level, you can ignite your entire body when you enter your rage, immolating your entire being in a terrifying display of fervor and fire. For the duration of the rage, you gain the following benefits:
- Your movement speed increases by 10ft.
- Your attacks deal an extra 2d6 fire damage on a hit.
- You deal fire damage equal to your rage damage to any creature that starts it turn within 5ft of you.
You can use this feature to enhance your rage this way once per long rest.
