Base Class: Monk
The wrath of a storm affects most all of the world beneath them. Animals seek shelter, plants are set aflame, even rocks may be blown away. You have focused on replicating this powerful natural phenomena, channeling it through your body for your performances, and your fighting style.
Storm Dancer
When you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in the Performance skill if you don’t already have it. You have advantage on checks made with this skill during storms.
Tempestuous Strikes
Starting at 3rd level, you learn how to fill your body with latent electricity, charging your body to strike like lightning. You may expend 2 Ki points as a bonus action to empower yourself in this way, for up to one minute or until you are incapacitated. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, the lightning arcs from your target to up to two creatures of your choice within 10 feet of the target. These creatures take lightning damage equal to a roll of your martial arts die.
Closed Circuit
Beginning at 6th level, the lightning coursing through your body no longer requires your attacks to flow through your enemies. When a creature hits you with a melee weapon attack while your Tempestuous Strikes feature is active they take lightning damage equal to a roll of your martial arts die plus your Wisdom modifier. A creature also takes this damage at the start of your turn if you are in direct physical contact with them (such as grappling, climbing, or engulfed).
Step of the Storm
Starting at 11th level, your Step of the Wind ability takes on an unusual ferocity. When you use the ability, you gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed. You retain this flying speed until you end a turn without having taken the Dash action.
Overcharge
Additionally, at 11th level, your Tempestuous Strikes discharge even more energy than before. When you hit a creature while your Tempestuous Strikes feature is active, you may expend 1 Ki point to deal additional lightning damage to the target and any arced targets, equal to a roll of your martial arts die.
Supercell dance.
This represents the pinnacle of a Storm Dancer's prowess, calling upon the might of a supercell storm. At 17th level, you may expend 5 Ki points to cast the Call Lightning spell at 5th level. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
Whenever you call down lightning with the spell, you may teleport to an unoccupied space within 5 feet of the point chosen as a part of the same action. Immediately after calling down lightning, you may use your Flurry of Blows feature.
