Base Class: Bard
Some dance for pleasure, while some dance for other’s entertainment. You dance to kill. Bards of the College of Dance are more commonly known as Dancers. They use their body much as a Monk does, sometimes with even greater speed, and the most powerful among them can invigorate allies to act more quickly. The Dancers were founded when a bard whose name was lost to time imbued his movements with invigorating magic.
Mantle of Dance
When you take this subclass at 3rd level, your training in dance magically enhances you. You may add twice your Dexterity modifier to your initiative (instead of just your Dexterity modifier), and your speed increases by a number of feet equal to your Dexterity modifier x 5. Additionally, your unarmed strikes become finesse weapons that you are proficient with, and they deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage instead of the usual 1. The damage die increases when you reach 6th level (d6) and 14th level (d8) in this class.
Graceful Step
Starting at 6th level, you may use Dexterity in place of Charisma and Strength when making Performance and Athletics checks, respectively. Additionally, whenever you attack with a finesse weapon on your turn, you may make an unarmed strike as a bonus action.
Empower Partner
At 14th level, your dancing can inspire your allies to have extra vigor. As a bonus action on your turn, you may dance for a creature within 5 feet of you, allowing it to move up to half its speed and take either an action or a bonus action (but not both). The creature also recovers its reaction if it had used it this round. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of 1 time), and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Dancer's Inertia
Also at 14th level, your extensive dance training makes your speed unparalleled. When your total initiative result is less than your Dexterity score, your initiative increases by 1 each round until it equals your Dexterity score.
