Monk
Base Class: Monk

The Monastic tradition of the Panther within Mordath has been a long secluded tradition. Their lack of grace was frowned upon by the other traditions and as a result they were small in number within the Kalend Mountains.

Brute Force

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your own ki to empower your physical strikes. Allowing (as long as you are unarmed or using fist weapons) to increase the damage of your attacks, grapple after an attack, or throw an enemy after an attack.

Use one ki point during an attack and you gain one of the following empowered benefits against a creature.

  • Grapple - Creature must succeed on a Strength saving throw or be grappled.
  • Throw - Creature must make a Dexterity saving throw. If it fails, you can throw a creature up to one size larger than you 20 feet. Doing 1d6 bludgeoning damage.
  • Empower - Add 1d8 to your attack if it lands.

Ignore Pain

At 6th level, you gain the ability to increase your resistance to damage. As an action, you can encase yourself in your own ki energy, increasing your AC by 2 for 10 rounds. You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.

Well Trained Beasts

At 6th level, you also gain the ability to train any beast creature type (CR Value = Creature half your level rounded down) as your companion. This companion can perform a set of useful abilities through your ability to link your ki.

  • Pin Down - You whistle and command your pet to leap onto a creature it's size or smaller and grapple it as well as knock it prone. It must make a Strength saving throw against the Monk's DC Save. If it fails, the creature is grappled and prone. It must attempt to break free on each of it's turns. Cost: 3 Ki Points
  • Fetch -You snap your fingers and command your pet to disarm an opponent. Target must make a Strength saving throw against the Monk's DC Save. If it fails, the creature's weapon is removed and is in the mouth of the beast. The beast must be able to reach the creature using it's base movement.  Cost: 3 Ki Points

Slam

Beginning at 11th level, you can manipulate your ki within your body at such force you're able to burst this energy at the end of your limbs. Once per day you gain the ability to leap into the air and slam down on your current position, sending a shock wave out in a 20ft radius. Doing 8d8 Radiant Damage to all creatures in range and if they fail a Dexterity save, knocking them back 5 ft. Half as much damage on a save, and the creatures do not move. The saving throw DC for the spell equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus.

Oblivion

At 17th level, you have mastered the balance between ki in your body and empowering your limbs without destroying yourself. Once per day, when you strike a creature you may choose to spend 5 Ki points to instantly kill that creature if they are your size or smaller and fail a Constitution save, on a save they take 10d10 Radiant Damage. If they are larger than you, they automatically make their save and they take 10d10 Radiant Damage.
