Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of Determination is perhaps the single most difficult of all oaths. A paladin that swears this oath knows that evil is widespread in the world, so pervasive that it cannot be countered by good behavior and high-minded morals. Sometimes, to fight evil, you must learn from evil's example. Once sworn, this oath allows a paladin to utilize extraordinary and often unorthodox means in the pursuit of justice.

TENETS OF DETERMINATION

The tenets of the Oath of Determination are straightforward, simple, and strict. While they allow a great amount of latitude in the methods used, they require that justice always be the end result.

Evil Must Be Opposed. Evil, in all its forms, must not be tolerated.

No Glory, No Riches. Justice cannot be served when basking in adulation. The extermination of evil is the only reward I need.

The Ends Justify Means. Almost anything short of becoming evil is forgivable so long as it brings destruction to the forces of evil.

Purity of Intent. I am only able to do what I do because of the justice I bring. As such, I do not lie or dissemble.

Honor at All Cost. My honor is what separates me from the evil of the world. Torture and terror are unacceptable.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Word of Debilitation. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer of judgement, using your Channel Divinity. Choose one creature within 60 feet of you that you can see. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw. Fiends and undead have disadvantage on this saving throw.

On a failed save, the creature is afflicted with physical illness for 1 minute or until it takes any damage. While afflicted, the creature has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks.

On a successful save, the creature is afflicted with physical illness, imposing disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks for 1 round.

Word of Devastation. As a bonus action, you utter a declaration of condemnation against a creature you can see within 10 feet of you, using your Channel Divinity. On your next successful attack against the creature, you can choose to expend some of your healing allotment from lay on hands to deal bonus damage to the creature. For every point of healing spent, add 1 radiant damage to the damage dealt.

Channel Divinity: Word of Displeasure

At 15th level, you gain a new use of Channel Divinity. As a bonus action, you present your holy symbol and announce your deity's displeasure with a creature you can see within 10 feet of you. That creature immediately makes a WIS saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the target creature becomes vulnerable to radiant damage on the next successful attack made against it. On a successful save, the target creature is stunned for one round. Fiends and undead have disadvantage on this save.

Absolute Confidence

At 20th-level you have gained the full favor and confidence of your patron deity. To reflect this, you are freed from strict observance of the tenets of your faith. As long as your actions ultimately contribute to the cause of justice, you can violate your faith without penalty.
