Monk
Base Class: Monk

Hear now the words of the Great Master, she who tamed Ki to wondrous effect:

"Master your own Ki, before you seek to master the Ki of another. Detach yourself from worldly concerns. And delve not too deeply in the mystical arts either. No tool, no weapon, no armor, no magic, no patron will serve you as faithfully as your own body.

So focus on your body. Sharpen the best, most ever-present tool you will have in the journey of your life. Hone it, that your control over Ki may be transcendent."

Ki, that Propels You

Starting at 3rd level, you push the Ki inside you to its limits. Step of the Wind gains additional effects for you -

Step of the Wind - You can make one unarmed attack against a creature of your choice as part of Step of the Wind's bonus action. Also, you gain a third option for Step of the Wind in addition to Dash and Disengage: Launch.

Launch - You can spend 1 Ki point to take the Launch action as a bonus action while you are on solid ground. When you do so, you launch yourself into the air in any direction in a straight-line, up to a distance equal to your movement speed. At the end of your turn, you start to fall if you are still in the air and have no flying speed.

Ki, that Strikes With You

Starting at 6th level, you gain control over Ki as it starts extending out from your strikes. Your Stunning Strikes and Flurry of Blows are enhanced -

Stunning Strikes - As Ki flows out from your strike, you have a chance to judge if it is going to be ineffectual and recall it. If a creature successfully saves against your Stunning Strike, roll a d6. On a 5 or 6, you regain the expended Ki point.

Flurry of Blows - When your attacks connect, your Ki pulses out in rhythm. If both flurry attacks hit, the second attack deals extra damage equal to your martial arts die.

Ki, that Envelopes You

Beginning at 11th level, your control increases over Ki that is outside your body. You can create a sensory bubble of Ki that lets you react at superhuman speed. Your Patient Defense feature gains an additional effect -

Patient Defense - While your Dodge from Patient Defense is active, whenever you take damage from a creature within 5ft of you, you may choose to rebuke the creature with a quick unarmed swat that deals 1d4 points of magical bludgeoning damage. You may also attempt a Stunning Strike by spending a Ki point, as normal.

Ki, that Is You

At 17th level, you have developed a preternatural sense of Ki of others around you. You gain 30ft of blindsight.

As you become one with this Ki that surrounds you, you are able to disrupt it when you activate your own. When you use an ability that uses your Ki, you may deal 1d10 force damage to any one creature of your choice within your blindsight.
