Base Class: Monk
The monk uses their ki to enhance their physical responses, sharpening their instincts beyond natural levels.
Opportunist
Starting when you select this tradition at 3rd level, your enhanced instincts allow you to act at the most opportune moment.
• Instinctive Retaliation
Whenever you take the Dodge action, you can make an unarmed strike as a reaction against a missed attack.
• Instinctive Defense
When you land both hits of Flurry of Blows, the next attack against you has disadvantage.
Mirage Step
You can use ki points to cast the Mirror Image spell as a bonus action. You spend 1 ki point for each duplicate you make, for a maximum of 3.
Reversal Stance
You can use your action spend 3 ki points and enter this stance. While in this stance, you gain the following abilities:
- When you are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your monk level + your Dexterity modifier. If the damage is reduced to 0, you can make an unarmed strike against a creature in range as part of the same reaction.
- When you take cold, acid, fire, lightning, or force damage, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage by 1d10 + your monk level + your Wisdom modifier. If the damage is reduced to 0, you can spend 1 ki point to retaliate with a blast of ki. This attack has a range of 30 feet and deals force damage equal to your martial arts die + your wisdom modifier. You are proficient with this attack.
- Whenever you are inflicted with disadvantage, you can spend one ki point to turn it into advantage for that roll.
Uncanny Instinct
You can use your action to spend 4 ki points and enter the Uncanny Instinct state. While in this state, you have advantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. Additionally, other creatures have disadvantage on attack rolls against you for the duration. The effect lasts 10 minutes.
