Base Class: Sorcerer
A sorcerers existence is very deeply connected to a magical source of energy, and for Primordial Pyromancer this source is the origin of flame itself, the primordial force of fire. These sorcerers are fire incarnate, and so this subclass is built around the natural expression of fire, the uncontrollable manifestation of it's wild will as it spreads out and consumes all.
Inner Flame
At first level when you cast a spell from the Evocation school of magic, it's damage type (if it has any) is automatically converted into Fire.
Additionally, as an actions you can magically ignite a flammable object you touch with your hand.
Fiery Soul
At 1st level, you gain resistance to fire damage and creatures aren't resistant to fire damage if it comes from a spell you cast.
Aura of Fire
At 6th level, when you cast a spell of 1st level or higher that deals fire damage, fiery magic erupts from you. This eruption causes all creatures within 5 feet of you to take fire damage equal to half your sorcerer level (rounded up).
Swirling Aura
At 6th level, you gain a new use of your font of magic feature. If you see a spell of first level or higher that deals fire damage, or once your Aura of Fire ability activates, you can spend 2 Sorcery points as a reaction to syphon the energy and magically wreath yourself in it's flames for 1 minute. If the fire comes from a spell then that spell deals half damage. While active you gain the following benefits:
- You shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet.
- Any creature takes fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier if it touches you or hits you with a melee attack,
- When rolling fire damage on your turn, the roll gains a bonus equal to your Charisma modifier.
- The Aura of Fire feature explodes out to a 10 foot radius.
Pyromancers Fury
Starting at 14th level, when you are hit by a melee attack, you can expend 1 Sorcery point as a reaction and deal fire damage to the attacker. The damage equals your sorcerer level. If you instead choose to spend 2 Sorcery points, then in addition to the damage you can use those flames to activate your Swirling Aura ability.
Fire Incarnate
At 18th level, you gain one free use of your Swirling Aura feature once every long rest. While under the effect of your Swirling Aura feature you gain additional benefits:
- You have a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover.
- If a creature targets you with a spell or attack, they must first succeed a Constitution saving throw (DC 10+CHA) or become blinded until the start of their next turn.
- You gain immunity to fire damage and creatures aren't immune to fire damage if it comes from a spell you cast, they instead become resistant.
- You gain control over which creatures within your Aura of Fire ability take damage when it gets triggered.
Additionally, creatures that die as a result of your flames are consumed, disintegrating into a pile of ash and restoring 1 Sorcery point (up to your maximum).
