Base Class: Barbarian
While many ferocious combatants can tap into a deep reservoir of buried rage, bloodragers have an intrinsic power that seethes within. Like sorcerers, bloodragers’ veins surge with arcane power. While sorcerers use this power for spellcasting, bloodragers enter an altered state in which their bloodline becomes manifest, where the echoes of their strange ancestry lash out with devastating power. In these states, bloodragers can cast some arcane spells instinctively. The bloodrager’s magic is as fast, violent, and seemingly unstoppable as their physical prowess.
Spellcasting
When you reach 3rd level, you augment your furious instinct with the ability to cast spells innate to your bloodline. You can choose a spellcasting class from the following list: cleric, druid, warlock, or wizard. When you learn bloodrager spells, you learn them from the spell list of this class. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for spell lists.
You can cast and concentrate on spells gained from this class, even when you are raging. You cannot cast or concentrate on spells you learn from another class. You ignore material components for spells you cast unless they have a specific cost.
Cantrips
You learn two cantrips of your choice from your chosen spell list. You learn an additional cantrip of your choice at 10th level.
Spell Slots
The Bloodrager Spellcasting table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. To cast one of these spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.
For example, if you know the 1st-level spell shield and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast shield using either slot.
Spells Known of 1st-Level and Higher
You know three 1st-level spells from your chosen spell list of your choice.
The Spells Known column of the Bloodrager Spellcasting table shows when you learn more spells of 1st level or higher. Each of these spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots. For instance, when you reach 7th level in this class, you can learn one new spell of 1st or 2nd level.
Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the spells you know with another spell of your choice from your chosen spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots.
Spellcasting Ability
Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your spells, since they come from the innate power in your bloodline. You use your Charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a wizard spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier

Bloodrage
When you reach 6th level in this class, you have learned to infuse your rage with magic. When you enter a rage, you can cast a spell that you know as a part of the bonus action you use to enter the rage. This spell must have a casting time of one action and affect only you. You must expend a spell slot as usual to cast this spell.
Blood Sanctuary
At 10th level, your exposure to arcane energies has inured you to magic. You automatically succeed on saving throws against spells cast by you or another friendly creature, and you have advantage on saving throws against all other spells.
Empowered Bloodrage
When you use your Bloodrage feature to cast a spell, you can choose to cast two spells instead, expending spell slots for both and following all other restrictions noted in that feature. Additionally, both of these spells must be of 2nd-level or lower. If both spells require concentration, you can concentrate on them simultaneously, making one concentration check for both spells.
