Oath of the Ruby Rose

Although the methods of The Knights of the Ruby Rose have largely fallen out of practice, a select few of Sune's faithful still believe that it is through upholding their ancient practices that they may best curry favor with their goddess.  These individuals adopt the Oath of the Ruby Rose, remaining true to their own views of freedom, encouraging the growth of love, the reverence of beauty, and the destruction of evil's ugly stain.  Though others may adopt this oath without holding any devotion to Sune, so long as their beauty shines bright she may offer her power to them regardless.


TENETS OF THE RUBY ROSE
The Oath of the Ruby Rose exemplifies a life spent protecting love, beauty, and embodying the light of that most wondrous force which moves people to action and meaning.  The four tenets of this oath guide adherents to such ends with four calls to action.

Nourish Beauty: Protect beauty and goodness in the world, and create more with your own two hands. Dress to impress, save priceless paintings, write poetry, donate finery, and share good wine.

Spark Romance: Find opportunities for romance as often for others as for yourself. Aid young couples in meeting at night, inspire old souls to find a final flame before their own is snuffed out, encourage the wizard to dance at tomorrow's ball. Always act to help others find and cherish romance, not to ruin one’s chances with it.

Protect Love: Love is the greatest gift any mortal soul can be granted. For those who are embroiled in the passionate tug of this most brilliant battlefield, your task is to aid both sides in achieving victory — in remaining together, with full hearts and high hopes. However it is just as important to be prudent and insightful, to identify those who seek service rather than love, and threaten the hearts of those their gaze lingers on forever.  Never allow such wicked beings to further fill their jar of hearts.

Revile Wretchedness: Smite evil and refuse its temptations, for evil is ugliness, and ugliness may well be evil. Do not become sullied or scarred. Blemishes on the outside sink more than skin deep, and by illusion or by cloth should always be covered from the Goddess’s gaze.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Restore Commitment. You can use your Channel Divinity with your holy symbol in hand to empower the ceremony spell, gaining 10 temporary hit points with no expiration upon performing a wedding.

Restore Choice. You can use your Channel Divinity as a bonus action to utter an ally's name, reminding them of who they are and restoring their will.  Doing so removes restrained, paralyzed, stunned, charmed and frightened from the target.  Your voice echoes beyond deafness, unconsciousness, or other barriers to sound, reaching into their mind, but they must be within normal earshot.

 

Love Bite

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the ability to perform Love Bite as an action.  Close your teeth on the air while gazing across the room at an exposed part of the intended recipient.  One target that has exposed flesh within 120 feet of you can be subject to a love bite, dealing 1 piercing damage.

At 15th level, gain the ability to restore 1 hit point to the target instead of dealing 1 damage.

Aura of Passion

Beginning at 7th level, Sune grants her blessing to the love you grow in those around you.  Enchantment spells and cantrips cast by you or allies within ten feet of you can forgo the need for Material (M) components, substituting them with an open kiss upon the target.

Targets successfully charmed in this way will never resent the caster for being charmed when the effect wears off, though this says nothing of their companions.

Enchantment spells that effect more than one target will still require their Material (M) components to effect additional targets that have not been kissed.

At 18th level, Aura of Passion increases range to 30 feet.

Enduring Personality

Starting at 15th level, just as the light of the sun swallows that cast by a candle, so too does your personality outshine all others around you.  You are immune to being  charmed and never suffer disadvantage on charisma saving throws.

Blow Kiss

Starting at 15th level, gain the ability to perform Blow Kiss.  As an action or bonus action, blow a kiss through the air while gazing across the room at an exposed part of the intended recipient.

One target that has exposed flesh within 120 feet of you can be subject to the sensation of your lips on their skin.  This feature's function is mechanically identical to a kiss in regards to Aura of Passion, allowing you to negate the need for Material (M) components of enchantment spells and increasing their range to match the range of your kiss.

Beauteous Embrace

At 20th level, the Goddess of Love and Beauty may embrace you, lighting your features and raising your appeal.  The changes are in line with your character's standards of beauty, and those of others conform to accept your transformation as their ideal for its duration.

Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:

• Charmed targets within 30 feet have the duration of the spell that caused it reset at the beginning and end of your transformation.
• Gain 2 temporary hit points per turn for every ally or target charmed by one of your spells within 30 feet.  These hit points expire when the transformation ends.
• Your charisma modifier is doubled.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
