Base Class: Bard
Some bards find their skill to be with music, playing tunes to entertain the masses. Some find it with the pen, writing the lore of the world down so that it never will be truly forgotten. There are even those who use the power of rumors and whispers to control the minds of many, lurking in the shadows rather than the limelight. However, there is a group that many are not aware of. Some bards chose to hone their craft in the way of gambling. Some see them as scammers, or simple charlatans, but that is selling these master gamblers short. They read the body language of their targets, sometimes to win a simple hand of cards, and sometimes to gamble time from the grim reaper himself.
These gamblers use their uncanny luck to turn their terrible fates into fates of success. This can be through something like predicting a roll of the dice to win some gold. Some have been rumored to be able to walk calmly into a hail of arrows and emerge with a smile on their face, and arrow between their teeth, and not a scratch on them. Many see this luck as a tool to be carefully wielded and not to be overly relied upon, while others throw caution to the wind and rely on luck to get them out alive.
Inveterate Player
When you select this college at 3rd level, you gain proficiency of two gaming sets of your choice, and also gain proficiency in Insight (Wisdom). Gaming Sets are considered as an Arcane Focus for you.
Double Or Nothing
At the 3rd level, you can push someone's luck even further but at a risk.
After an ally rolls your Bardic Inspiration die, he can try to push his luck by Raising Stakes and then rolling the Bardic Inspiration die again. If the result on the second throw is equal to the result of the first throw or higher, the player summarizes the result of both throws. Otherwise, the player loses the use of the Bardic Inspiration die.
Trump Card in the Sleeve
At level 6, whe you cast a spell using Gaming Sets as Arcane Focus, you can ignore the verbal components for your spells. In addition, whenever you make a Sleight of Hands check to cast a spell stealthily, you make the check with advantage.
In addition, when you give a creature a Bardic Inspiration die with a bonus action, you can try to grab hold of luck. Roll the Bardic Inspiration die and bet on the result- Even or Odd.. If you guess correctly, you can also give Bardic Inspiration Dies to a number of creatures equal or less to your Charisma modifier without expending the uses.
After guessing a bet, you cannot make another bet until you finish a long rest.
The Ultimate Game of Fate
When you reach the 14th level, you can shuffle away your bad luck and turn it into a success, but at a price. Whenever you or a creature within 30 feet of you makes an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw and fails you may, as a reaction, change the result to a success instead. The attack rolls will become critical hits, and ability checks and saving throws will become pure successes.
However, as a cost of using this until the end of the current or next game session, the Dungeon master can choose to change the result of a d20 you roll to a 1, becoming instant bad luck as a price for such good luck. Such replacement of the result cannot be canceled or changed by anything, even with feats or racial traits.
