Way of Reality

Monks of the Way of Reality devote themselves to the abandonment of magic, believing it to be a crutch, instead focusing on the inner power of the individual. Warrior monks of the Way of Reality train to fight spellcasters, learning how to suppress the power of magic around them, and convert it into ki power.

Magic Avoidance

At 3rd level, you learn techniques used to avoid the effects and influence of magic. You have advantage on all saving throws against spells, magic items, or other magic properties.

Mystic Neutrality

Starting at 6th level, you are able to use your natural energy to sense and cancel magic around you. You can cast the following spells by expending ki points: counterspell (3 ki points), detect evil and good (1 ki point), detect magic (1 ki point), dispel magic (3 ki points),  protection from evil and good (1 ki point).

Spell Conversion

Beginning at 11th level, you can consume the magical energy of your enemies and friends, and convert them into ki. When you hit with flurry of blows, you can force the target to make a Charisma saving throw. If they fail, they loose a combined level of spell slots equal to your proficiency bonus, or half as much on a successful save. Whenever a creature looses spell slots in this way, you regain ki points equal to the spell slots lost. You may place your hand on a willing creature, and either regain ki points equal to twice the level of spell slots they sacrifice, or sacrifice 5 kit points to give them advantage on all saving throws against spells, magic items, and other magical effects.

Bane of the Mage

At 17th level, you master the ability to cancel out all magical effects completely in a small area around you, and can even harness redirect the most powerful of spells. As an action, you may spend 10 ki points to cast antimagic field. While the spell is active, you may use your reaction to dismiss the effect when a spell is canceled by the field. When you do so, you regain a number of ki points equal to the spell level.
