Path of the Draconic Heir

Barbarians who follow the Path of the Draconic Heir draw power from the mighty dragons of old. Whether their power comes from an ancient part of their bloodline, from a pact that they or their tribe formed with an ancient dragon, or through some other means such as a totem, these warriors prove formidable foes on the battlefield. Relentless, these warriors fight with all the strength and ferocity of a dragon, drawing on their powers to unleash terrifying breath weapons and other draconic abilities such as flight. Regardless of where their power comes from, these warriors are terrifying forces of destruction on the battlefield that bring the brutal power of dragons to bear. 

Draconic Might

Starting when you choose this path at third level, you begin to learn to harness the power of dragons. You learn to speak, read and write Draconic. In addition, choose one of the colours of dragon from the table below. You gain resistance to the damage type listed in the table associated with the dragon colour while you rage. In addition, your melee attacks deal an additional 1d4 damage of the type associated with the colour of dragon you chose while you rage. This damage increases to 2d4 at 8th level, 3d4 at 13th level and 4d4 at 18th level.

Black Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Black Dragon. Your damage type is acid. 

Blue Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Blue Dragon. Your damage type is lightning. 

Brass Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Brass Dragon. Your damage type is fire. 

Bronze Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Bronze Dragon. Your damage type is lightning. 

Copper Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Copper Dragon. Your damage type is acid. 

Gold Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Gold Dragon. Your damage type is fire. 

Green Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Green Dragon. Your damage type is poison. 

Red Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Red Dragon. Your damage type is fire. 

Silver Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a Silver Dragon. Your damage type is cold. 

White Dragon

Your chosen dragon is a White Dragon. Your damage type is cold. 

Dragon's Breath

Starting at 6th level, you learn to channel your draconic power into a devastating breath weapon. As an action while raging, you may expel energy in a 30 foot cone. All creatures within the cone must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or take 3d8 damage of the same type associated with your choice of dragon colour from your Draconic Might feature. The DC for this saving throw is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. The damage increases to 4d8 at 11th level and 5d8 at 16th level. You may use this ability once per rage. 

Frightful Presence

Starting at 10th level, your draconic presence becomes so great that you can cause your enemies to cower in fear before you. As an action, you may exude a frightful presence. Creatures within 60 feet of your choice that can see you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be frightened of you for 1 minute. Creatures can repeat the saving throw at the end of their turns in order to end the effect early on a success. The DC for this saving throw is equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. You may use this ability once, regaining the ability to do so after a short rest. 

Draconic Form

Starting at 14th level, you gain the ability to fully embody your draconic power while you rage. While raging, you manifest dragon wings that grant you a flying speed equal to your walking speed. These wings can either be spectral or physical, but are the same colour as the dragon you chose for the Draconic Might feature. In addition, while you rage your nails enlarge into claws that can act as natural weapons. These natural weapons deal damage equal to 1d10 plus your Strength modifier in slashing damage. This damage counts as magical for the purposes of overcoming resistances and imunities.
