Base Class: Rogue
A luckspinner is a rogue who is able to glean a bit of luck from whatever entity or force controls it. Doing so allows the rogue to increase the odds in their favor for a short period. Unfortunately the natural order, or the being controlling the flow of luck eventually requests the balance be restored.
1.1 change added DM discrepancy on whether a roll will clear debt or not in order to avoid skill check abuse.
Luckspinning
The player may re-roll any save, skill check, initiative roll, ability check, attack roll, or tool check, and picks which roll they wish to use. Doing so incurs a debt of luck. This debt is payed for the next time the player makes one of the aforementioned rolls, and the player must re-roll the roll and take the second roll even if it is worse. However, the player can choose to not pay the debt; a decision that must be made before the roll; or after rolling the debt, incur an additional level of debt beyond what was previously owed and use luckspinning again. A player can have as much debt as he has charisma modifier. Once max debt is reached the player can incur no more debt until his debt reaches 0. After a short or long rest the player's debt remains, but they are able to spend additional luck up to their threshold (note, this is not an action, and can be used multiple times a turn and round). **Also, it is up to DM discretion whether or not a roll will burn a debt or not, this is to discourage flagrant abuse of skill check rolls for random things in order to clear debt.
Influence Luck
The character is able to force disadvantage on someone else using a skill check, ability check, or attack roll against them. Doing so incurs an additional level of debt.
Unbound Luck
The character doubles their debt limit.
Gambit
By incuring 5 debt the luckspinner can influence any d20 roll they can see within 60 feet. They are able to confidently predict the natural outcome of the roll, stating what it will be exactly. This decision must be made prior to the roll taking place and can only be used 2 times per short rest.
