Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Floating Blade harness their ki to manifest floating swords. They focus heavily on a barrage of attacks, taking a 'death by a thousand cuts' approach figuratively and literally.

Floating Swords

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your mastery of your ki allows you to summon floating shortswords. As a bonus action, if you are unarmed, you can spend any number of ki points to summon that many floating swords. On your turn, each sword can make an attack, in addition to any attacks you could normally take. They have a range of 15ft and deal 1d6 damage on hit. These swords are counted as monk weapons.

Manifest Shield

At 6th level, your swords can manifest into different shapes. When using Floating Swords, you can spend a ki point to summon a floating shield, granting you +2 AC.

Astral Sharpening

Starting at 11th level, your Floating Swords become longswords. They have a range of 20ft and deal 1d8 damage on hit.

Pinpoint Impalement

At 17th level, you have developed a complete control over your swords. As an action, you may spend 6 ki points to summon 4 swords and target a creature. Make a medicine check (DC is equal to the target’s CON score) to pinpoint the creature’s vital organs. Then roll to attack with each sword you summoned in this way. Then finally make an unarmed strike. If every roll was successful, instantly kill the creature. If any of the rolls failed, your turn is over after dealing damage based on the successful attacks.
