Base Class: Bard
These bards are the students of mermaids. Most of these bards have lived at least part of their lives underwater and are usually underwater creatures such as triton, sea elves and water genasi. Oftentimes you will see these bards use their skill to bring about a unique and rare experience in their performances. Others might use it to lul surface dwellers to their deaths. Bards that have studied among mermaids are likely to remain neutral and selfish folk, much like their mentors. (Please note that this is mostly a fishy reflavouring of a glamour bard)
Hallucinatory appearance
This appearance is different depending on who looks at you. You are unable to control your appearance as it resembles one most desired by the affected creature. You do not know what you look like. Until level 14 you have to use your siren's song in order to activate this effect. You may choose not to activate this effect on specific creatures or at all after level 14.
Siren's song
This is a song that has a lot of high pitched tones, very few words are used and it is usually sung in primordial. This song is exclusive and personal from bard to bard. It has magical capabilities and allows for vocal components to be smoothly incorporated.
Screeching support
When you join the College of Sirens at level 3 you gain the ability to use your siren's song to aid your allies in battle.
As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration upon starting your siren's song. When you do so, choose a number of creatures you can see and who can see you within 60 feet of you, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each of them gains 5 temporary hit points and advantage on its next saving throw .
The number of temporary hit points increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 8 at 5th level, 11 at 10th level, and 14 at 15th level.
Ear shattering performance
Starting at 3rd level, your sirens song is capable of seducing those around you.
If you perform your song for at least 1 minute, you can attempt to charm your audience using a hallucinatory appearance.
At the end of your song, choose a number of humanoids within 60 feet of you who watched and listened to all of it, up to a number equal to your charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be charmed by you. While charmed in this way the target will see you as their hallucination and will be oblivious to any of your actions. This effect ends after 1 hour, if the target takes any damage, if you attack it or if you attack their allies.
If a target succeeds on its saving throw, the target has no hint that you tried to charm it but it will no longer see the hallucination.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Demanding encore
At 6th level, you gain the ability to use your siren's song to make others want to serve you. As a bonus action, you cast Command, without expending a spell slot, and you take on the hallucinatory appearance of someone your target(s) would like to serve for 1 minute or until your concentration ends (as if you were concentrating on a spell). During this time you can cast command as a bonus action on each of your turns, without expending a spell slot.
Any creature charmed by you automatically fails its saving throw against the Command you cast with this feature.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Siren's aura
At 14th level, you do not need your siren's song to have your hallucinatory appearance be activated. However you may choose per person not to have this effect be active.
In addition, as a bonus action, you can use your siren's song to surround yourself with a magical aura. For the duration, whenever any creature tries to attack you for the first time on a turn, the attacker must make a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, it can't attack you on this turn and must choose a new target for its attack or the attack is wasted. On a successful save, it can attack you on this turn, but it has disadvantage on any saving throw it makes against your spells on your next turn.
Once you surround yourself with this magical aura, you can't do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
