Monk
Base Class: Monk

You follow a monastic tradition that teaches you to harness the flow of energy to focus on certain parts of your body. By taking on different styles of fighting, you can focus this energy to specific extermities, enhancing your abilities when fighting in specific stances. Some members of this tradition dedicate themselves to a single stance, but most weave them together to defeat a variety of opponents.

Many monks of this tradition dye their clothing or skin blue in intricate designs, commonly representing complex gemstone structures, but also as divine angels, crackling thunder, complex machinary, fierce dragons, or healing symbols.

Disciple of the Stance

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd Level, you can manipulate your body's ki to specific extremities, and are trained in the knowledge of specific stances that allow you to best take advantage of whichever point you are focusing your ki. You learn the Stance of the Sapphire Fist, and two other stances of your choice. You learn one additional stance of your choice 6th, 11th, and 17th level.

Stances: Whenever you roll for initiative, you can select one of your known stances to take for the ensuing combat. If the stance you select offers passive benefits or reactions, these may not be used until the start of your first turn. At 3rd level, you may only have one stance active at a time, and changing your stance. As you increase in levels, your Stance provides increased abilities.

Stance of the Benevolent Storm

A Stance created by Master Florence in honour of a brave friend, the Stance of the Benevolent Storm allows the user to infuse their Ki into very heart and soul, allowing them to accomplish feats of heroic bravery, as well as expunge it quickly to harm enemies and help allies.

Florescent Loyalty: Whilst in this stance, your ki swirls expertly through your own lifeblood. If you are effected by a Charm or Frighten effect, it is supressed whilst you are in this Stance, though you must still make saving throws to resist these effects if targetted with them, as they may come into effect when you drop this stance.

Ki-Smite: At 3rd level, you gain the ability to thrust life energy out of your body to destroy that of your opponent. Whenever you land an Unarmed Strike, you may immediately spend a Number of Ki points up to your Wisdom Modifier (Minimum 1). When you do so, the attack deals an extra d8 of damage for every Ki point spent. Ki-Points spent in this way are not recovered on a Short Rest, and do not return until a Long Rest has been taken, as the energy is actively removde from your body and forced into your opponents. This extra damage is force damage.

Epic Rage of Furious Thunder: At 11th level, you gain the ability to sacrifice your life energy in order to restore it to a creature of the verge of death. Whenever a friendly creature you can see within 30ft of you is reduced to 0HP, but not killed outright, you may use your reaction to spend a number of Ki points up to your Wisdom Modifier (Minimum 1). When you do so, the friendly creature remains conscious on a number of Hit Points equal to however many Ki Points you spent. Additionally, if they were knocked unconscious by a hostile creature, that creature must make a Constitution Save (DC 8 + Your Profifiency Modifier + The Number of Ki Points Spent) or take damage equal to the amount of damage that originally knocked out the friendly creature.

Stance of the Forgotten Saint

A Stance created by Master Florence in honour of a forsaken hero, the Stance of the Forgotten Saint allows the user to infuse their Ki into their blood stream, granting them superior healing reserves and a stronger life essence.

Florescent Life: Whilst in this Stance, when somebody attempts to heal you, your own innate life energies work with them to increase its effectiveness. Whenever a creature casts a healing spell on you and rolls below average on any dice, treat it as though they had rolled the average (Rounded down) for you, and only you.

Empathic Link: At 3th level, whilst in this stance, you can sense the pain and distress of those around you. As an action, you can spend 1 Ki point to link your body to a willing, friendly creature for a number of rounds equal to your Monk level. If either of you take damage during this time, the damage is split equally between both of you. Once created, this link cannot be broken until one of you dies, or it expires on its own. This link stays active even whilst a creature is unconscious or dying.

Heroic Relinquishment of the Selfless Martyr's Worthy Life: At 11th level, when an ally dies within 30ft of you, you can use your reaction to sacrifice all of your Ki points  (Minimum 3) to instead die in their place. They recieve a number of hit points equal to your current hit points and immediately wake up, whilst you immediately die. No effect other than a Wish spell can prevent your death when caused in this matter, as you are willingly removing your own life energy. You can still be resurrected by traditional means, however, with their usual prerequisites.

Stance of the Righteous Angel

A Stance created by Master Florence in honour of a lost love, the Stance of the Righteous Angel allows the user to infuse their Ki into their very skin, increasing their susceptibility to outside influences when wanted, and repelling those unwanted.

Florescent Charm: Whilst in this stance, your body is more susceptible to the taint and corruption of both Good and Evil. Whilst in this stance, you may chose to convert half of your Unarmed Strike damage into either Radiant or Necrotic instead of Bludgeoning.

Celestial Purity: At 3rd level, you learn to expunge harmful toxins, diseases, and event unwanted magiccal effects out of your body. When you make a Constitution Save, you use your reaction to spend 1 Ki point to add your Wisdom modifier (Ability score, not Wisdom Saving Throw) to the result of the roll. This may be done after making the roll, but must be done before learning if the result has passed or failed.

Holy Conjuration of Divine Influence: At 11th level, you learn how to move yourself using solely your Ki. As an action, you may spend 2 Ki points to expell energy from body in the form of a pair of luminous wings sprouting from your back: These wings last for 1 minute (At which point you may spend a reaction to active this ability again for 1 Ki point, or fall), and grant you a fly speed equal to your movement speed.

Stance of the Sapphire Fist

The Stance originally practiced and mastered by Master Florence, the Stance of the Sapphire Fist allows the user to infuse their Ki into the tips of their fingers, allowing them to close the Chakras of an enemy combatant with a single touch .

Florescent Grace: Whenever you kill a living creature (Not including Undead or Constructs) whilst in this stance, non-magical flowers of your choice bloom around your foe, as their life energy is dispersed back into the Material Plane. Additionally, your movement is not hampered by difficult terrain caused by plantlife or other natural occurances.

Compelling Target: At 3rd level, you gain the ability to close an enemy's Chakras and draw their focus. When you hit an opponent with an Unarmed Strike, you can spend 1 Ki point to cause them to have disadvantage on their next attack if it targets anybody other than you.

Chakra-Binding Edge of the Sapphire Strike: At 11th level, when your opponent fails their saving throw against your Stunning Strike, you may spend an additional Ki point to cause them to be Paralysed instead of Stunned until the end of your next turn.

Stance of the Wayward Investigator

A Stance created by Master Florence in honour of a cunning teammate, the Stance of the Wayward Investigator allows the user to infuse their Ki into their brain and sensory organs, allowing them to exercise superior combat reasoning and tactics.

Florescent Intellect: Whilst in this Stance, your vision and hearing are improved by your Ki. You have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks, even if you would normally have disadvantage on them, and your Passive Perception cannot be reduced below 15.

Superior Strategist: At 3th level, whilst in this stance, you can exploit the weaknesses of an opponent of an opponent. Once per turn, you can deal an extra Martial Arts Dice worth of damage to one creature you hit with an Unarmed Strike as long as you have advantage on the attack. You do not need to have advantage on the attack if another enemy of the target is within 5 feet of it, that enemy isn't Incapacitated, and you don't have disadvantage on the Attack roll.

Punishing Observations of the Immaculate Battle: At 11th level, you may use both your action to spend 3 Ki points to focus your eyes and ears on the Battlefield around you. When you do so, you may immediately make a Perception check to spot hidden enemies, you gain Blindsight up to 15ft until the end of this turn, and you gain the benefits of the Dash, Dodge, and Disengage actions. This must be done before any bonus actions or movement you take this turn, and if done, you may not take any bonus action that deals damage to any creature.

Stance of the Wrathful Dragon

A Stance created by Master Florence in honour of a powerful ally, the Stance of the Wrathful Dragon allows the user to infuse their Ki into the muscles of their arm, allowing them to artificially increase their own strength.

Florescent Strength: Whilst in this Stance, whenever you attempt to brawl with another creature, the positioning of your Ki allows you to weigh down on them. You may use a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check in place of a Strength (Athletics) check to grapple an opponent.

Hardened Body: At 3th level, whilst in this stance, you can spend 1 Ki point to change your Deflect Missiles feature to instead Deflect Melee by drawing the strength from your hands into your arms and blocking strikes. Whilst changed in this way, you can use your reaction to catch or parry the weapon when you are hit with a melee weapon attack. When you do so, the damage you take from the attack is reduced by your martial arts die + your dexterity modifier + your monk level. This effect lasts until the end of the current combat, or until you leave this stance (Whichever comes first).

Forceful Denial of Imminent Demise: At 11th level, when an attack reduces you to 0HP, you can use your reaction to spend 1 Ki point to instead remain conscious on 1HP. Every time this ability is used, the post of the Ki points required to use is increased by 1. The cost resets to 1 on a Long Rest.

Stance Swapping

When you reach 6th level, you have mastered the art of quickly switching between forms in the heat of battle. You learn a 4th form of your choice, and you may spend 1 Ki point at the start of your turn to swap your current Style to a different one as a free action.

Secondary Stances

When you reach 11th level, you have succeeded in the art of focusing your Ki into multiple parts of your body at once. Whenever you select a stance, you may also pick a Secondary Stance - You gain the passive benefit of this Stance (But not the third or eleventh level features) as long as it is your Secondary Stance. You may swap between your Primary and Secondary stance for free at the start of your turn, but if you wish to change to a different Stance, you must spend 1 Ki point as usual (Though this also entitles you to change your Secondary Stance). Additionally, you learn a 5th stance.

Master of Stances

At 17th level, you have successfully Mastered all known stances under the Florescent Sapphire Monastic Tradition. You learn any Stance you did not already have, and may switch between your stances as a free action every time you land an attack. You may switch your Primary and Secondary Stance around for free, but switching to a different Stance still costs 1 Ki point.
