Monks of the Way of the Earthen Soul have an affinity to the earth and it's stabilizing comfort. Monks of this discipline are known for being very stubborn and steadfast defenders. Many can be seen walking unshod through the world due to their affinity to feel the soil between their toes.

Earthen Initiate

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl discuses of earthen material only if a minimum of 5lbs (per discus) of earthen material (dirt or stone) is within a 10 ft radius. You gain a ranged spell attack you can use with the Attack action. The attack has a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. It deals a amount of Bludgeoning or Slashing damage equal to your Martial Arts die, as shown on the Monk table.

When you use the attack action on your turn to use this special attack, you can spend 1 ki point to make two additional attacks with it as a bonus action. The damage type chosen on the initial attack will apply to all attacks for this round.

You gain the Mold Earth cantrip if you don't already have it.

Earthen Familiarity

Due to the Monk's training and attunement to the earth, if the Monk is unshod, 30' tremor sense (vibrations through the ground) is added to their Perception rolls. If shod, the perception rolls are made at disadvantage.

Earthen Novice

At 6th level, you gain the ability to manipulate your ki into a disruptive wave of energy. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to cast the 1st level spell Earth Tremor as a bonus action.

You can spend additional ki points to cast Earth Tremor at a higher level. Each additional ki point you spend increases the spell's level by 1. The maximum number of ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half your monk level (round down).

Earthen Attunement

At 6th level, due to the monk's familiarity with the earth, they can ignore the difficult terrain effect due to earthen modifications. Does not apply to spells like Grease or Entanglement.

Earthen Expert

At 11th level, expanding their skill with enhancing their abilities through direct contact with the earth, while in contact with the earth or stone, the Martial Arts dice is increased to 1d10. You gain additional capabilities to manipulate the earth through your experience shaping your ki.

Earthen Master

At 17th level, the Earthen Soul has become fully in sync with the earth. Their melee attacks are more damaging due to being able to transfer the force through planting themselves firmly to the ground. Their Martial Arts die increase to 1d12 when in contact with earth or stone and gain the Seige property. Their abilities allow them to detect impurities in metal and use them for the basis for other Earthen Soul abilities (including soil and stone) such as their thrown discus.

Also, using 6 ki points, the monk can chose to cast wall of stone as an action.
