Base Class: Fighter
Executioners are tasked solely with death. They deal in death as surely as they breathe. They have only one aim, and it is at the end of their weapons. These are simple creatures. They are masters of their craft. And their craft is death.
Souleater
At 3rd level, you learn to channel your life force into your blows, allowing you to hurt your enemies by sacrificing your own health. When rolling damage for a weapon attack, you can spend Hit Dice up to half your fighter level to deal extra damage. Roll the dice, and you deal necrotic damage to the target of the attack equal to the total.
Execute
At 7th level, your familiarity with death allows you to deal decisive killing blows. When you attack a creature and roll a critical hit on the attack roll, if the attack reduces the target to 25 hit points or fewer, that creature dies instantly. Constructs, undead creatures, and creatures with legendary saves are immune to this effect.
You can use this ability without rolling a critical hit when you hit a creature of your choice. You must declare the use of the ability before knowing if the creature's hit points would be below the threshold. Once used this way, you cannot use this ability again until you finish a long rest.
Executioner's Cowl
At 10th level, your close relationship with death grants you an equally intimate relationship with fear. You are immune to being frightened.
You gain proficiency in Intimidation. If you were already proficient in Intimidation, you can add twice your proficiency to Intimidation checks, but not if you would already add twice your proficiency to such checks, such as with Expertise.
Superior Execute
At 15th level, when you attack a creature and roll a critical hit on the attack roll, the creature need only be reduced to 50 hit points or fewer for it to die instantly. In addition, you can use this ability without rolling a critical hit twice before losing the ability to use it again until you finish a long rest.
Marked for Death
At 18th level, you are highly adept at killing, and doing so grants you unbounded bloodthirst and fervor. When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with an attack, you regain an expended use of your Action Surge feature.
