Base Class: Warlock
She chose you because of the honor and sense of duty you have always portrayed. She knew you to be a logical person who saw order as being more important than any sense of good or evil. She came to you on that road you were traveling. A great beast, the head of a beautiful woman, the body of a lion, the great wings of an eagle, and the tail of a serpent, she rose up in front of you, and you knew your life had come to an end. In a sense, it had. And then, as a test you knew you must pass to live, she asked you a riddle
It is a long winding road, where many a turn doth lie. You will find what matters most, when the journey's end is nigh.
Only because you were looking at your impending death did the answer immediately come to you. "Life" you said, and she smiled down at you. "You will be my champion," is all she said, and you knew life had forever changed.
Extended Spell List
The ancient power of the sphinx now flows through you, enabling you to learn spells that would otherwise be unavailable.
1st level - Detect Magic, Command
2nd level - Zone of Truth, Lesser Restoration
3rd level - Dispel Magic, Revivify
4th level - Banishment, Freedom of Movement
5th level - Flame Strike, Greater Restoration
Close the Mind
Beginning at 1st level, you are granted immunity to any effect that would sense your emotions or read your thoughts. Any Wisdom Insight checks made to determine your intentions or sincerity have disadvantage. You also learn the cantrips Sacred Flame and Spare the Dying
The Fearful Roar
Beginning at 6th level, you begin to develop powers that are only known to your patron. You can now let out a thunderous roar whilst in the midst of combat. Your roar can be heard by all creatures within 60 feet of you. Creatures you consider your enemy must make a Wisdom saving throw verses a DC of 5 plus your Warlock class level. All creatures who do not succeed at their save are frightened of you for 1 minute. Each frightened creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of their turns. You can use this ability one time per short rest.
The Deafening Roar
Beginning at 10th level, you develop your roar ability into something stronger. In addition to having to make a wisdom saving throw to keep from being frightened, all enemy creatures must also make a Constitution saving throw (DC is still 5 plus your Warlock class level) or they will also be deafened and knocked prone by the power of your roar. Though additional saving throws will allow the creatures to throw off their frightened condition, they will remain deafened until the end of one minute. You can still only use this ability one time per short rest.
The Thunderous Roar
Beginning at 14th level, your roar becomes even more powerful, creating physical damage on the battlefield. If creatures within 60 feet of you fail their Constitution saving throw (DC is still 5 plus your Warlock class level), they will also take 6d10 thunder damage in addition to being knocked prone and deafened. If they succeed on their Constitution saving throw, they will take half damage and will not be knocked prone nor become deafened. You can still only use this ability once per short rest.
