Base Class: Paladin
You are bonded to a deity of life and death--or possibly undeath--giving you a unique connection to the mortal veil.
Tenets of the Veil:
- Sanctity. Protect helpless souls from corruption.
- Perseverance. If you are attacked, resist; If you are knocked down, stand up; When you suffer a small defeat, seek out the greater victory.
- Subtlety. Avoid the scrutiny of evil eyes, and those who would coerce you.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Mantle of Resilience. As an action, you use your Channel Divinity to become swathed in an eerie luminescence that protects you and your allies from the brink of death. For 1 minute, you emit dim light in a 30-foot radius; creatures of your choice within this light do not accrue failures from death saving throws.
You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you drop to 0 hit points or fall unconscious, you immediately become stable and this effect ends.
Grim Arbiter. As an action, you present your holy symbol and speak a prayer of judgment, using your Channel Divinity. Choose a creature within 30 feet of you that you can see. That creature must make a Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, the affected creature cannot benefit from its resistances (if any) and cannot regain hit points for 1 minute.
