Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

As a Master of Scrolls you favor spells that require focus and concentration and then breaking these fundamental rules. You can harness your magical abilities into scraps of velum and paper and maintain powerful spells whilst in the heat of combat. Your focus is ironclad. As you master this form you can eventually cast using just paper imagining the runes and glyphs giving them form and power.

Concentration Specialists

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a wizard spell with the Concentration tag into your spell-book is halved.

Talisman Caster

Starting at 2nd level when you choose this tradition you gain the ability to create a specialized spell scroll called a Talisman. A talisman functions as a normal spell scroll but does not require anything more than paper or vellum. Also any material components the spells require are consumed when the spell talisman is created. These talismans can only be cast by you, If anyone else attempts to use the talisman its abilities are lost and the talisman is destroyed. When you create a spell talisman in this way the spell slot used can not be regained until the talisman is expended. The number of Talismans that can be created at a single time is equal to 1/2 your wizard level minimum 2.

Subconscious Concentration

Beginning at 6th level, when you cast a spell from a scroll or talisman, you no are no longer required to make a concentration check upon taking damage unless the damage type is psychic; you roll concentration saves as normal in this case.

Spell Eater

Starting at 10th level, whenever you cast a non-talisman spell. You may also consume the energy from a talisman to grant your spell cast an additional effect, destroying the talisman in the process. You may add one of the following effect when you consume a talisman in this way.

  • You gain invisibility until the beginning of your next turn.
  • You gain resistance to all damage until the start of your next turn.
  • You vanish from your current space and appear in an unoccupied space within half your movement.
  • You gain advantage on saving throws.
  • You gain temporary hit points equal to your wizard level.
  • You gain AC equal to your INT modifier.

Empty Talisman

At 14th level, you gain the ability to cast a 5th level or lower spell that you know from a blank talisman. Spells cast in this way do not count against your normal spells slots for the day and no longer require concentration to maintain. You may do this a number of times per day equal to your 1/2 of your intelligence modifier rounded up. Spells cast in this way end when you are incapacitated, you die or if you cast another concentration spell using this feature. You regain all uses at the next dawn.
