Bard
Base Class: Bard

Whether as a prostitute, primp or madam, you have learned to use the art of attraction and seduction as the means to your end. Sexual Magic is your ken, and having defended yourself in the back streets against customers, interlopers, and competitors, you are well versed in close combat.

A courtesan is a euphemism meaning an escort, mistress, prostitute, pimp, or madam, for whom the art of dignified etiquette is the means of attracting wealthy, powerful, or influential clients. The term originally meant a courtier, a person who attends the court of a monarch or other powerful person.

Historically, the court was the centre of government as well as the residence of the monarch, and social and political life were often completely mixed together. Prior to the Renaissance, courtesans served to convey information to visiting dignitaries, when servants could not be trusted. In the first century after the Divergence, courtiers played an extremely important role in upper-class society. As it was customary during this time for royal couples to lead separate lives—commonly marrying simply to preserve bloodlines and to secure political alliances—men and women would often seek gratification and companionship from people living at court. In fact, the verb 'to court' originally meant "to be or reside at court", and later came to mean "to behave as a courtier" and then 'courtship', or "to pay amorous attention to somebody". The most intimate companion of a ruler was called the ”favourite”.

In Wildmount, the Zemnian word cortigiana, feminine of cortigiano ("courtier") came to refer to a person who attends the court, and then to a well-educated and independent woman, eventually a trained artist or artisan of dance and singing, especially one associated with wealthy, powerful, or upper-class society who was given luxuries and status in exchange for entertainment and companionship. The word was borrowed in Common from the Zemnian form courtisane.

A male figure comparable to the courtesan was the Zemnian cicisbeo.

The courtesans of Syngorn held a different social role than that of their counterparts elsewhere. Syngorian courtesans were more focused on the aspect of entertainment than courtesans elsewhere in Exandria.

Sexassinate

Joining the College of the Courtesan at 3rd level gives you the skills of a bedroom Assassin.

If a creature is surprised, prone and/or reasonably assumes that you will be granting or arranging them sexual favors instead of an attack on your first combat encounter by failing a Wisdom saving throw, you have advantage on attack rolls against them.  If your opponent succeeds at their Wisdom saving throw, but you still have surprise or they are prone, you maintain advantage, but do not score an automatic critical hit.

If you or your party is currently in combat with them, or you have already attacked them within the last 10 minutes, Sexassination is not an option.

Any hit you score against a creature that fails its Wisdom saving throw is a critical hit.

Sexual Healing

As a 6th level College of The Courtesan, you gain the ability to inspire your companions with lusty thoughts that increases their vigor and speed.

As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to grant yourself a lusty countenance. When you do so, choose a number of creatures you can see and that can see you within 60 feet of you, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each of them gains 5 temporary hit points. When a creature gains these temporary hit points, it can immediately use its reaction to move up to its speed, without provoking opportunity attacks.

The number of temporary hit points increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 8 at 5th level, 11 at 10th level, and 14 at 15th level.

Seductive Inspiration

Starting at 9th level, you can charge your performance with seductive, sexual magic.

If you perform for at least 1 minute, you can attempt to inspire lust in your audience by singing, reciting a poem, or dancing. At the end of the performance, choose a number of humanoids within 60 feet of you who watched and listened to all of it, up to a number equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one). Each target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC or be charmed by you. While charmed in this way, the target idolizes you, it speaks glowingly of you to anyone who talks to it, and it hinders anyone who opposes you, although it avoids violence unless it was already inclined to fight on your behalf. This effect ends on a target after 1 hour, if it takes any damage, if you attack it, or if it witnesses you attacking or damaging any of its allies.

If a target succeeds on its saving throw, the target has no hint that you tried to charm it.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Lustful Enchantment

At 14th level, your appearance permanently gains an otherworldly aspect that makes you look more sexually attractive.

In addition, as a bonus action, you can assume a magically majestic presence for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated. For the duration, whenever any creature tries to attack you for the first time on a turn, the attacker must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, it can’t attack you on this turn, and it must choose a new target for its attack or the attack is wasted. On a successful save, it can attack you on this turn, but it has disadvantage on any saving throw it makes against your spells on your next turn.

Once you assume this majestic presence, you can’t do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
