Base Class: Monk
Monks of the Way of the Beast are Masters of the Beast Fist Technique, an unarmed fighting style that imitates the movements of beasts. Through this they learn to mimic the attacks, defenses and abilities of these beasts, as such they emit a bestial aura which helps to dominate lesser beasts and intimidate those around them.
Beast Fist Technique
You have seen the power that beasts command, select a beast to learn from at levels 3,6,11,and 17 You learn the abilities of these beasts and imitate their movements. Those that learn this Technique have their movements become more bestial and when they use these techniques you can swear you hear and see the out light of the beast behind them.This gains the monk Proficiency and Advantage to Animal Handling.
Ape
The Apes, powerful, dexterous and Wise. Those who study Apes gain the following:
- Wisdom of the Apes(Advantage on wisdom saving throw)
- Technique- Long Arm -After Studying the ape you have learned to imitate its movement, The long arms of an Ape extend it reach, and just like the ape you can spend 1 ki point to extend the reach of your unarmed attack by 10 feet once per short rest.
- Action- Multiattack- Once per short rest you can attack up to three targets with in 5 feet of you with one unarmed attacks each.
Bear
The Bear is a Strong, Durable animal making them perfect for a monk to learn from. Those that study bears gain the following :
- Bears Strength (advantage on strength saving throws)
- A Bears Hide (armor class +1)
- Technique - Bear Palm - After Studying the bear you have learned to imitate its movements, at the cost of 1 ki point you take a solid stance and trust you palm forward doing 1d10 Bludgeoning Damage . A hit with this attack causes the target to make a Dexterity saving throw, 8 + Dexterity Modifier + Proficiency, or be knocked prone. At the cost of 1 additional ki point you can add 1d10 Bludgeoning Damage.
Eagle
The Eagle, King of the Sky, its eyes can see all in its domain.Those that study Eagles gain the following:
- Eyes of the Eagle King(Advantage on perception)
- Technique- Eagle Claw - After Studying the eagle you have learned to imitate its movements, during flurry of blows you can spend 2 ki point to add 1d6 damage to each unarmed attack and switch the damage type to piercing damage.
- Action- Wings of the Eagle King - After Studying the eagle you have learned to imitate its movements, Once per long rest at the cost of 3 ki points you can cast Fly on yourself.
Elephant
The Elephant, strong and enduring. Those that study Elephants gain the following:
- Strong Back(Advantage Athletics)
- Action - Trampling - After Studying the Elephant you have learned to imitate its movements, at the cost of 2 ki points you can stomp on a prone enemy doing 1d12 Bludgeoning Damage. For an addition 1 ki point you can add 1d12 Bludgeoning Damage up to 8 times.
- Technique- Elephants Charge - After Studying the Elephant you have learned to imitate its movements, at the cost of 3 ki you can charge forward to your maximum distance, if anyone is in front of you they must make a Strength saving throw, 8 + Strength Modifier + Proficiency , or be knocked prone and they take 2d12 Bludgeoning Damage. If they succeed they are pushed to the side by 5 feet.
Lion
The Lion, King of the jungle, lord of beasts. Those who study Lions gain the following:
- The Kings Aura( Advantage on persuasion)
- Action- Kings Roar - After Studying the Lion you have learned to imitate its movements, once per long rest when your health is below half you can roar out, forcing all those in a 15 foot radius to make a Wisdom saving throw, 8 + Proficiency + Wisdom Modifier . If they succeed nothing happens, On a failed saving throw the targets are affected by Frightened
- Technique- Kings Wisdom - After Studying the Lion you have learned to imitate its movements, On a successful unarmed attack at the cost of 1 ki you can add your Wisdom modifier to your attack.
Snake
Snake, venomous, cunning creatures. Those who study snakes gain the following:
- Snake Blood(Resistance to poison)
- Action- Snake Poison - On a Successful unarmed hit once per short rest you can spend 1 ki point to add an extra 1d10 poison damage.
- technique- Constrictor - After Studying the snake you have learned to imitate its movements, You have learned to constrict and damage a target you have grappled. While you are grappling a target you can now spend 1 ki point to deal 1d8 Bludgeoning Damage.
Tiger
The Tiger is a ferocious and terrifying beast. Those that study the Tiger gain the following:
- Stalking(Advantage on stealth)
- Technique- Tiger Claws - After studying the Tiger you have learned to imitate its movements. At the cost of 1 ki point you shape you fingers into claws and swipe at your foe, doing 1d10 Slashing Damage, and if you spend 1 ki point when the attack hits, it also deals an extra 1d10 Slashing Damage.
- Action- Pouncing Tiger - After studying the Tiger you have learned to imitate its movements. You have observed the beast stalking and ambushing its prey. At the cost of 3 ki points while in stealth and within 10 feet of your target you pounce from your position onto your target dealing 1d12 Slashing damage, and at the cost of 1 additional ki point you can add 1d12 slashing damage up to 10d12 slashing damage. A hit with this attack causes the target to make a Dexterity saving throw or be knocked prone.
Wolf
The Wolf, Noble, fast and Loyal. Those that study Wolves gain the following:
- Keen Hearing and Nose(Advantage perception)
- Action- One for the Pack - After Studying the wolf you have learned to imitate its movements, at the cost of one action you grant one of your pack(teammates) an additional action.
- Technique- Wolf Bite - After Studying the wolf you have learned to imitate its movements, at the cost of 1 ki point you have learned to form your hand into the shape of a wolfs jaw, you launch an unarmed attack towards the target that deals 1d10 Piercing Damage. At the cost of 1 additional ki point you can add 1d10 Piercing Damage.
Savage Body Recovery
You have Watched the cruel world of the beats and seen the injured killed first as such you learned to recover faster. At 6th level, you gain the ability to heal yourself. As an action, you can regain hit points equal to three times your monk level. You must finish a long rest before you can use this feature again.
Beast Aura
As a Monk of the Way of the Beasts you have learned to gather your Bestial Aura through meditation, in doing so you can the following two effects:
- Beast Lords Aura - As a Lord of Beasts you can show dominance over the creatures with just your aura alone. You have gained the ability to cast Dominate Beast at the cost of 1 ki point.
- Bestial Fear- During a Long rest you gather your Bestial Aura using meditation, it now radiates off and effects anyone that is targeting you with a ranged attack. When you are targeted those aiming at you are effected by a Fear spell unless they succeed on a Wisdom saving throw of 8 + Wisdom Modifier + Proficiency . This Lasts till your next long rest.
Savage Attacks
At 17th Level, you have mastered the Beast Fist Technique, in doing so you have learned to use an ancient best form. This ancient form, Savage Attacks deals 1d20 Slashing, Bludgeoning or piercing (Your choice) + Dexterity Modifier per 2 ki point you spend.
