Base Class: Sorcerer
The origin of your magic is tied to the heat of the forge and strength of the anvil. You may be tied to a legendary blacksmith or perhaps a divine swordsman or maybe a famous military commander. Nevertheless, you are able to equip an army or a rebellion with but a wave of the hand. Your steel is without compare and whether you use it yourself or leave it for others, it is sure to create it's own legend. You may have to steel your own soul as your talents also mean many will seek you out, for good or for worse.
Project Weapon
Starting at 1st level, you are able to give form to the images of weaponry in your mind. As an action, you can choose a 5-foot-square that you can see in within 60ft of you. You cause a number of simple or martial melee weapons equal to your charisma modifier (min:1) to rain from the sky. If a creature is in this space, they must make a Dexterity Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC. On a failed save, they take 1d6 of damage of the weapons type for each individual weapon. On a successful save, they take half of this damage. These weapons vanish in 1 hour.
You can do this 3 times per long rest.
As an action, you are able to make them permanent by consuming any metal in an amount equal to the value of the weapon.
Furthermore, you are able to use any weapon made by Project Weapon, permanent or not, as an arcane focus. Also, you can choose to your charisma modifier instead of STR/DEX when attacking with them.
Wield Weapon
At 1st level, you gain proficiency with light armour, medium armour, simple weapons, martial weapons and smith's tools
Improvised Projection
From the 6th Level, you no longer need to use arcane foci for mundane material components. Furthermore, you are able to project a weapon, and use it as a conduit to attack with a spell. When you cast a spell or cantrip which uses a single spell attack roll, you can instead make a melee attack roll using your strength, dexterity or charisma. This is done by creating an entire weapon on the fly, which breaks upon use and delivers the spell. When you do this, you also deal an extra 1d6 + (chosen stat) slashing damage.
Regardless of whether the attack misses or hits, you also become able to utilise your bonus action to make another attack by projecting another weapon in your other hand. Make another weapon attack using your strength, dexterity or charisma. On a hit, you deal 1d6+ (chosen stat) slashing damage. You also gain +1 AC after making this attack, even if it misses.
You require a free hand to project the first sword, and both hands to be free to make the second attack with your bonus action.
These count as being made by a magical weapon. Furthermore, all your weapons made by project weapon now also count as magical weapons.
Also, you are able to project a temporary weapon for any spell or cantrip that requires a melee weapon attack which deals 1d6+STR/DEX/CHA
Reinforce Weapon
At 14th Level, you are able to surpass you mastery at forging weapons and instead move to improve others. At the end of a long rest, you can improve a single simple or martial melee weapon. The weapon becomes magical if it wasn't already, and gains one of the following features.
Black Steel: The weapon deals an extra 1d6 force damage to its target. This can only be done once per round.
Silver Steel: The weapon gains the thrown property and returns to the users hand if thrown.
You can improve weapons up to your charisma modifier, if you choose to improve more, weapons of your choice lose these benefits until they are equal to your Charisma modifier.
Unlimited Blade Works
Beginning at 18th level, you can replicate weapons with ease after mastering your art. When a creature makes a melee weapon attack against you and both of your hands are free, you can use your reaction to replicate their weapon in attempt to stop their attack. Make a melee weapon attack, using your charisma modifier. If the attack roll is greater than the attack roll than the opposing creature, you stop the attack and destroy the weapon if it is non-magical.
If the weapon is magical and has a bonus to attack rolls, you have the same bonus to your roll. This projected weapon is destroyed after this is done.
