Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

"See how the dagger dances along my fingertips, see it spin. I have forgotten more ways to use this dagger than you can ever imagine."

Just as a swordsman would hone their craft in a single chosen style, some rogues favour one weapon over all other tools at their disposal. Daggermasters favour the simplest and ubiquitous weapon of their craft. They hone their skills to a razor's edge that many would never dream possible and then take it even further.

This is a homage to the Rogue Paragon Path Daggermaster from fourth edition, alongside some of the unique features Rogues possessed from that edition.

Rogue's Fient

Starting at 3rd level, your agility allows you to bypass a the most stalwart of defenses. When you make a weapon attack with a dagger, you may force the target to make a dexterity saving throw in place your attack roll. The DC is equal to your dexterity modifier + proficiency bonus + 8. The attack is considered a critical if the creature rolls a 1 on the die. This attack can deal your Sneak Attack damage as long as you fulfill all other requirements to do so.

Attacks that would be made with advantage do not impose disadvantage on saving throws if substituted with a Rogue's Feint. This also applies to attacks made at disadvantage visa versa.

Dagger Expertise

Starting at the third level, you are adept at driving a point home when you're ahead. When you make an attack with a dagger against a creature, if you have advantage you gain an additional +1 to attack and damage rolls. This increases to +2 at level 11 and +3 at level 17.

When using your Rogue's Feint feature, if the attack roll would have been made with advantage, increase your Feint's DC equal to your bonus to attack rolls.

Dagger Mastery

Your mastery with your chosen weapon has reached heights of lethality few live to tell the tale of. Starting at Level 9, when you make a weapon attack with a dagger, you score a critical hit on a roll of 18, 19 and 20.

Meditation of the Blade

At 13th level, with a moment of concentration, you focus your will into the point of your blade.

As a bonus action, for a minute, you can increase your dagger's damage die by one size. You cannot use this feature again until you complete a long rest.

Pierce Any Weakness

Starting at 17th level, you can piece any weakness with a dagger. When you make an attack with a dagger against a creature, you may choose to invoke this feature. When you do so, the DM will grant you the knowledge of the creatures AC and all saving throw bonuses. You may then make an attack roll against it, or force the creature to make a saving throw of any attribute. You can add your sneak attack damage to this attack, even if you do not fulfill the requirements to do so, and it does not count against the normal limit of sneak attack.

Once you've used this feature, you cannot use it again until you complete a long or short rest.
