Monks of the Way of Augmentation believe that perfection can only be achieved through mechanical enhancement. These martial artists combine their bodies with artificer technology to achieve shocking results.

Blastseeker

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you begin to apply your talents toward developing a mechanical harness to enhance your martial abilities. You gain the following benefits:

  • Caster: You create a magically enhanced harness called a Caster that cannot be worn while wearing armor or wielding weapons and is powered by your Ki. Choose either a Staticaster, which creates blasts of lightning, a Pyrocaster, which launches spurts of flame, or a Gravicaster, which distorts gravity to create surges of force.

  • Tools of Augmentation: You gain proficiency and expertise in Tinker's Tools, and can make one set of tinker's tools at this time if you have access to spare parts. Additionally, you gain proficiency in the Arcana skill if you do not already have it.

Gravicaster

Your Caster now create waves of gravitational forces:

  • Your unarmed damage can now deal force damage
  • Whenever you use your Flurry of Blows feature while wearing your caster, a wave of gravitational energy erupt from you in a 15 foot cube centered on you. Each creature in this cone besides the target of your original attack must succeed on a Dexterity Save equal to your Ki save dc (8 + your proficiency modifier + your wisdom modifier) or take force damage equal to the original unarmed strike.

Icycaster

Your Caster now create blast of freezing air:

  • Your unarmed damage can now deal Cold damage
  • Whenever you use your Flurry of Blows feature while wearing your caster, a 15 feet cone of frost erupt in front of you from the target of your attacks. Each creature in this cone besides the target of your original attack must succeed on a Dexterity Save equal to your Ki save dc (8 + your proficiency modifier + your wisdom modifier) or take cold damage equal to the original unarmed strike.

Pyrocaster

Your Caster now create burst of flames:

  • Your unarmed damage can now deal fire damage
  • Whenever you use your Flurry of Blows feature while wearing your caster, a line of fire 30 feet long and 5 foot wide burst out of the target of your unarmed attack in the direction you're facing. Each creature in this cone besides the target of your original attack must succeed on a Dexterity Save equal to your Ki save dc (8 + your proficiency modifier + your wisdom modifier) or take fire damage equal to the original unarmed strike.

Staticaster

Your Caster now create blast of lightnings:

  • Your unarmed damage can now deal lightning damage
  • Whenever you use your Flurry of Blows feature while wearing your caster, a bolt of lightning jump from your target to up to another creature within 15 feet of your target, this creature must succeed on a Dexterity save equal to your Ki save dc (8 + your proficiency modifier + your wisdom modifier) or take lightning damage equal to the unarmed strike, this arc of lightning then jump to another target in such a fashion and this up to 2 additional time.

Chemister's Insight

At 6th level, you research several ways to make your Caster more useful. You gain the following benefits:

  • Ocular Scanner: You gain information about an object as if you had cast the Identify spell. You may use this feature once until your next long rest.

  • Vent Steam: You unleash a cloud of steamy exhaust as if you had cast the Fog Cloud spell. You may use this feature once until your next long rest.

Mizzium Plating

At 11th level, you coat your Caster with a magical alloy of metals which provide magical protection.
As a reaction, you may spend 3 Ki points to absorb and redirect elemental energy as if you had cast the Absorb elements spell.
You can increase the damage of this ability by 1d6 by spending additional Ki points, up to three.

One with Machine

At 17th level, you are able to fully harness the abilities of your Caster.
Whenever you make an attack using the attack action, you may spend 1 Ki point to apply the effects of your Caster's Discharge ability to that attack.
